Whats up THC! its been an awesome trip as a tribe. its J's cell that was on the bus on the power box by the emergeny window & bear bench. as for xaner, he was cool in canada at first and slowly got worse. the poor decision of ditchin his crazy meds at the border and going without them is the cause for his removal from the bus. personally if he would have kept them and continued takin his meds, i dont think he would have been removed. so its kinda complicated. josh, good to hear from ya. you left your cd's on the bus so we'll make shure u get them. well im off to have a toke. peace

The highway child tribe originated in canada, I live here, as do our sister bus in bc

we grew in leaps and bounds in the states, we have 5 buses down there, kickin around.

ok so the vote came back 5-2 that this was NOT a coo. so all good. reason xander ditched his prescriptions is he didnt have a a prescription on him and it would have caused us flack at the border since xander has a record already...no aded greif with jony law eh? though votes a vote, and if xander did get kicked off two buses hes out...we didt actually kcik him off though it woukd have happened at earyhj dance, we just didnt choose to find hom when he disapeerd again, as for this time meds no meds, liablity was taken to question.....ok so whats your vote kids??????????

tried with ryan, robbie, tie, sara, jason, bam bam, gear, cave man steve, sorta hopped with zack, to be honest right now the girls who havnt paid shit has shown more charcter as road dogs then many in this progect, fuck they hitched out here, rasied 40 bucks in 10 minutes in east toronto got denied at the border in detroit/windsor the spoke to me booked it six hrs to a better border followed teh gamne plan then crossed drove to tennesse with shit money in there pociket and made it in a day and a half.........

had a mechanic fox all electrical issues last night. were leavingin a few hours, headed east. montreal. toronoto for some reggaie thing then on to montreal.

 

Wow these buses are an awesome idea, but it sounds like you guys have hit some rough patches. I really like the idea and I'd hate to see it killed by unhelpful tribe members or whatever is preventing progress.

Just a question, as I've been giving tramping a lot of thought lately. How do you guys get money? Maybe a naive question but I direct it at those who seem to have quite a bit of experience, so please, fill me with you wisdom.

 

i may have missed it but you said you started a bloc,drew......do you have a link for it???best of luck on your road trip .i leave again to cross canada in november ..heading out to vancouver first to see the grandchild that was born may 1st ,then on to northern alberta for the winter

 

Anyone out there besides highway child making an attempt to do something real? I am feeling like I am missing out on the intended part of my life, parts I have rarely filled or experienced. Living it as we all expect, or people in general all do as an unbreakable rountine is seeming, much to fucking much. People wear a mask every single day, playing dress up and not even seeing the facade infront of them and inside them. It's pitiful and sadly my life has turned, or is continuing on this path of no joy. People say life is hard, live it deal with it but why can't we have an easy life, a simple life if we so chose. I find some people day dream a lot, but not of a plan of action but of how wonderful it might be... I want to enjoy my world, my environment and all the wonders I love so much, not to be held back because I have no means of doing it. I want to make a way today with little to no gold it truely is impossible, unless you are a very very strong individual.... I am not, but I don't want this to harbor me. .. it's just getting harder and harder to imagine doing what I want when society has clouded our thinking...

I feel very stuck and I know most of you do too... Just damn stuck.

 

I can certainly understand this frustrated position, knowing that we are part of the problem, knowing that we're not living the way we want to live and not knowing what choice we can make to do something else!

Alone we are small and have no means, though together, sharing creates abundance and we have every means in the world! We can choose whatever we want! I think my Family and I are doing something real, and making that real change, that cultural change inside me IS REALLY FUCKING HARD and we work on ourselves all the time trying to accomplish just this, and we are making incredible progress.

I understand not being able to live a certain way any more, so much so that I'm living the way I know I must. If you're not living the way you want, make a change. Ironically, it seems like those on the internet talking about intentional community seem mostly unable to really make the transition to DOING IT, although I have spoken here on the net with people who WANT to form community, even have land, though what community takes is a COMMITMENT from each of us, a DEDICATION and DETERMINATION to live your dream, and not just talk about it.

I get the feeling there are lots of communities (including ours) who are welcoming to those who are REALLY READY to do it, it's just that most aren't ready to stop talking about it and do it yet.

I was on this bus I built for 3 days, I am extremely happy the bus is on the orad, and I was extremely happy to get off the bus and watch it drive away.

Im in picton ont now, the bus is in belleville for the time bieng but east to monreal is the plan, weve spent a few days swiming at this quary in deseronto, and making jewlery, one day in nappanee making money and food shopping the bus has a good crew , consisting of josh aka highway jesus, alex, chelsea and julia, it has s ome room for a few more kids, guessing they'll end up meeting some in montreal.

as for money on the road, we have TONS of ways we make money, selling jewlery, painting curbs, washing windows, just for starters, ...when people get on the bus they give a donation, that helps as well, mostly in the running fo the buses and restocking, but trust me theres no end to costs, flying signs and flying a gas can hapens from time nad you can make really good money doing that, problem with flying a can and signs, is after a while you dont want to do anything else....and thats a bad place to get too. I mean you can make hundreds of dollars in a few hrs with a sign ....but its not the money its the pride ....

whatever ....sometimes its just the money.

I honor your vision.

I used to be in the same movie. At the Gathering in Costa Rica, we had a strong vision of a big bus caravan, and it drew a crew, created a tribe and a group came back to the States with a powerful intention to manifest buses and bring the Rainbow trail to a new level, going to through the towns and cities, picking up the lost, bringing them to Rainbow, and picking up those in Rainbow who are ready and restless to settle and going to landed Rainbow communities and trading and networking and then doing it all again, dropping off those who had found their stop and continuing on with who was ready to move on. Leaving to do it all again in a beautiful cycle.

After manifesting two buses we were tired and broke and about to have a baby born. So we made fast travel to the World Rainbow Gathering, that year in Quebec to deliver our baby. After that, our tribe scattered, our Rainbow library dormant.

Eventually we were tired of the tear down, the isolated struggle, and some old Family and some new Family drawn to our new forming vision came together and bought land, since it's the same vision, just a different part of it, because where are all the landed Rainbow tribes anyway?
