many o fyou have read highway child threads before, youve all read about the planning the building the drama, the creation the orad the adventure, and so on.

what do you all forsee in this bus? travelling during the winter? in canada?

we have travelled canada, actually for many years before ever venturing into the states, but nonethe less its new and old, its been a while 2002 since the last tribe in canada,

Delays!, followed by a bus with the groupe here plus a person or 2 from edumndton joing on

Then some fun travle adventures and stoires, then hard times/drama and some ppl leave and post, then we travel on

 

then we travel on.......

 

I'll stick with the bus and the tribe for as long as it wants to stay stuck together. Travelling in the winter could be tricky, cuz yeah it's bitching cold up here, but hey, such is life. Last winter was very warm, actually, prolly due to global warming... Guess we'll just haveta bring lots of blankets.

Ive finally got some well only 8 hrs today but fuck thats good lately, tommrorow I have a full 14 so im stoked my ass is very broke right now!

jay was right in the delays ...

heres the dealio

from the get go I said the bus would cost 5 grand to buy and build and put on the road.
I have recieved 2000.
The original plan was for this to be a fully tribe bought and built bus.
it didnt work that way!
I dont have the money right now to build the bus support my family and leave all at once.
I just cant I have been tryiong to figure a way around it and I just cant.
Ive had problems with my car then it died then I had to get a new one, Im behind in rent, all threw this I have to come up with the missing three grand I wanted to pay an equal share. Ive put in way more than a thousand so far.


everything is still a go. though the plan is different.

Im flying out to vancouver on tuesday. Ive found ajob that pays alot more than what im making now.
for a gypsy Ive never really ahd to many issues getting kick ass employment...I guess in that sence im still ona roll.
anyway, Im going out there and living in a camper van avoiding the highcost of living expenses in north vancouver.
we owe 800 to the international repair shop,
Ill make the money and pay that off while in vancouver in a few weeks Ill have enough to come back and pick up the bus, and the tribe.
we'll go out to vancouver as a tribe we'll at that time have a camper van and a bus
we'll finish the bus, right now its a skeleton of what it should be. theres a lot more to do for this bus to be a workable bus.
its not like were going south weher its warm
this bus has to be insulated and be able to support a full crew. Ive framed it alreadyu and built most of the kitchen, installed the woodstove and done the flooring.

thats not enough.

the mechanical work done so far will be enough to travel, though our route in canada is extremely mountainous, as well the yukon is harsh driving conditions. we need everything to be top notch!

so yeah thats the plan.

if any of the tribe want to join me in vancouver in the van before we get enough cash together tp pick up the bus they are more than welcome, though realistically I can only take two or three living in a van., it will be tight quarters....

I cant do anymore than that right now. this is extremely difficult.

so everything is still a go though we are now delayed!

this is supposed to be a communal effort.
and for the most part it is so far, I shouldnt have put anydates oput there without collecting enough in the first place. in that part I am at fault.
