High school is about fun, you only have 1 life, don't waste it, I got people who spend all their time doing papers and what not, and I just can't understand it sometimes, I mean I haven't done homework or studies for a test in god knows how long and I get decent grades that will get me into a decent school and get me a decent life.(ha, I wanna be a teacher and I don't take any part of school serriously)

I understand your point but academics obviously is fun to her and she enjoys it, just because she's doing what your idea of fun is doesn't mean she isn't enjoying her high school years.

I agree, I think that you should balance yourself between academics and try and find somebody with similar interests or just to hang out with, I dropped out of high school (going back in january) partially because of the people (this is a diifferent school im going to). There's a book my brother gave me after he found out I left school, it's called "asserting yourself" and it has a lot of great tips and little things you can do to strike up a conversation and get to know the people around you, the way I look at things is, when I'm 90 and lying in bed, am I going to be happy that I stayed after school every day studying science, or do I wish I went and had hours of fun doing crazy things that I can't do anymore

Homeschool, homeschool, homeschool... because I feel better with my future in my hands as I trust myself more than some pitiful wanna-be-administrators here trying to make a buck and teachers who don't care... I don't have to be a part of it. There's too much shit that kills...

But you miss out on the social things, I mean no one really likes having to get up at 6AM to go to school, but you do have alot of fun, when you have good teachers, you see people you talk there that you wouldn't normally see, and it always seems like the 1 day you're absent, something hilarious happend in 1 of your classes and you missed it.

high school high school high school! i can not wait to get back to school, not seeing anybody is really killing me. The thing is, I can learn on my own if I feel something's lacking at school. The teacher sucks at teaching math, I pick up a math book and learn on my own! Plus, I get to see actual real people! Hang out with them at lunch and see each other in halls, do things after school and also, the school I want to go to is amazing. It's an all girls school next to an all-guys school, they pair up a lot, share classes etc. The guy's school has a massive amazing library with nice computers and a fountain outside, there are benches and fantastic art centers and.. its just amazing!
