High School Agriculture Program Reportedly Teaches Cruelty to Animals

No, its a proven fact that as you get older the more wisdom you've learned and all I did was simply do a marketing observation. I looked through the profiles of dozens of peta2 members and did a survey of how many were male and how many were female and the age. I've estimated an average of 3 : 1 male to 4: 1 male.

I didn't get my facts from PETA Sucks. I did some research into the matter from a variety of websites and newpapers. I imagine if you think PETA Sucks is a joke do you consider PETA an angel who tells all the facts about what they do and their agendas?

God also gave us domination over the animals to provide us with food. I provide a balance with nature and i'm very courteous and help out people. In fact i'm going to be a volunteer at the local police department.

If this was true would you mind pointing out the number of lies PETA has told the children or is it too many for you to count?

 

Wisdom has more to do with the level and type of education you have, not your age.

I never said that. In fact, in an earlier part of this thread I said it was always best to try to get the facts from a source OUTSIDE of a charity...and this applies to any charity.

Actually God gave us DOMINION, and lets remember that we're animals too. Either way, dominion doesn't mean you can be cruel and heartless. My parents have dominion over the people who work for them, but that doesn't mean that they can eat them.

What lies did PETA tell kids?

 

I wanted to address this.

I am not going to deny that these things happend or were said. But that doesn't change the fact that PETA works to protect the rights of all members of the animal kingdom, and that includes humans...(Like you I had to quote PETA directly here.)

"How do you respond to people who claim PETA cares about animals at the expense of caring about humans?"

"I'd like them to give us one example. A group is set up to care about homeless people -- it would be like accusing them of caring more about homeless people than orphans. That's their mandate. Our mandate is to care about and make heard the voice of the largest group of victims in the history of the world, encompassing 9 billion animals killed a year just for food in this country -- not counting all the animals in entertainment, the elephants chained behind circuses, the animals with electrodes in their heads in the laboratories.

Our perspective is that if anyone says that, they can't point to a single incident in which we care more about one animal, human or other. Secondly, vegetarianism is a diet that stops people from getting heart disease, cancer and stroke. Veganism is a diet that stops children from getting ear infections and colic. Vivisection is wasting money that could go to a birth defects registry instead of to addicting monkey mothers to cocaine. There isn't anything we do that doesn't benefit us as human beings -- we simply have to shift the marketplace to a compassionate lifestyle from a callous lifestyle."

PETA also donates old fur coats to the homeless and is working to end industries like factory farming that directly harm the environment which in turn harms us. I should also note that a GREAT many of us are also involved in HR groups. To be AR is to be HR.

I am going to say one thing, and then I think this thread should end because it is getting way off subject. Defending rights doesn't mean defending actions. For example, I am against the death penalty because only God has the right to pass that kind of judgment on people, but I am not going to sit here and defend the actions of a serial killer. Do you see what I mean?

On that note, you have a right to your opinon and so do I. At least you and I both know our facts and have presented them quite well. But I consider this thread to be over. We've both said everything I think we can say to each other.

Onto another point....KerryJones...I am going to have to address the "female" issue. Just because PeTA2.org is dominated by chicks doesnt mean they are less intelligent then the male-dominated PeTA-Sucks site. Being female does not make you less intelligent and if you hold that opinion, I suggest you leave this site now because 99% of the forum members are of the belief that stupidity transcends sex.

I wouldn't use the members of PeTA-Sucks as the examples of intelligence either. The site is comical at best but only makes the anti-PeTA movement look as goofy as the PeTAdrones make animal-advocates look.

The only Anti-PeTA forum(only outright anti-PeTA forum..there are many masked as other forums)where I didnt encounter the mass of ignorant-good ole boy-uberconservative-animal hating-nugent is God-attitude was PETASUCKS.CC and that was because Dan Fegan(rest his soul)had enough sense to ban those asshats.

PeTA-Sucks is inhabited by some of the silliest people on the internet.Comparable to the Peta2.org crowd only on the opposite end of the spectrum.

I used to belong to all the anti-peta forums...but when I saw that they could be just as close-minded and ignorant as those they set up shop to bash,I left them and never looked back. I stayed at petasucks.cc because Dan Fegan was a good man who had respect for anyone on either side..as long as they were good people in general.Vegans and animal-rightists were just as welcome as those who opposed them.
