high heels

No. Well, not yet anyway, but I'm hoping to do my master's there in a year's time. My boyfriend is doing his doctoral programme there so that's why I get to go to the ball.

 

I'm still undecided what to wear!

 

Haha alright, I will. It does sound wicked awesome, apparently the fountain is massive and you can dip strawberries and other fruit into it... mmmmm! I'm drooling just thinking about it. :tongue:

 

I really dont wear them at all. Sneakers or nothing all the way.

I'm going to have to wear them for the ball thats coming up though....oh darn! :leaving:

I dont like heels, i really dont like heels. I have a pair of 'court shoes' with a 2 inch heel and hate them, but am forced into them at weddings and funerals!!!

Im 5"9 and heels dont suit me, its good when you loose someone in a club though cos i just gotta stand there and look like a fucking mere cat!!!!

I say go with other shoes, flip flops

They are very uncomfortable. At least to myself. I believe that, rather than go around walking uncomfortably, and showing that in a really bad, funny, not at all attractive way of walking, better not wear those.

well, after the experiment of wearing them all evening, i have to admit i still don't know how i feel about heels. it felt like kind of a silly, but occaisionally fun, thing to do. maybe it's because i don't take shoes in general very seriously. it was like, haha, i'm wearing heels, this is so silly! of course after the show i got stoned with my friend and then we hung out in the bar downstairs to see a band.

i wouldn't wear them all the time, but then, i'd say that about almost any pair of shoes (except maybe my second-hand birks, which are so old and worn and nasty i didn't think they'd be appropriate for the theatre.)

the show was awesome, btw - they even had the crew come out and take their bows! i was wishing i was backstage myself, it looked like such a fun show. i could tell the cast was having a blast with some of the numbers.

 

High heels were originally created for men to wear while riding horses. ya know..of course you do.

 

yeah, actually it's kind of wierd how the fashion hung around for women and went out of style fo men. i actually studdied costume history during my brief stint as a theatre major in college.

i guess i'm sort of deciding that heels are ok as a goofy novelty, but if they become something you feel you "have" to wear to be sexy of professional or whatever, then that's dysfunctional.

most of the time, i think it's ok to kick the shoes altogether.

i fucking love em...i never wear them but i think they look so sexy...some of them that is some of them are just ridiculous...
i'm like 5'7''/5'8'' maybe even 5'9'' i have no idea..i'm tall ..from my slovak genes...
they are silly, there is absolutely no reason people should get so worked up over fucking shoes

you could probably find a pair of shoes that look great without too much of a heel

 

I used to be a fan of huge 4 inch + stilettos, but stopped wearing really high heels...because I work in a bad neighborhood and don't wear shoes i can't run in (how sad is that?). Since then I haven't gone back to them and all my recent shoe fetish purchases have been around 2 or so inches and now I realize that what I used to wear looked a tiny bit trashy and way too showy since I am 5'9ish. I am obsessed with ballet flats and flipflops right now.

i think the're just plain UG-ly, with a capitol UG. i for one DON'T find them "sexy" AT ALL.

guess i must be just wierd, but every picture i've seen the was supposed to be erotic or porn that had the women wearing those damd things, they just totally ruined the rest of the effect for me. i kid you not.

and of course not just when trying to look sexy either, i think the're repulsive in everyday life too. i think they just plain look like crap and make anyone wearing them look like crap too.

well, themnax has stated his opinion, therefore i must state mine. i love them. i'm usually barefoot, but i'm a total sucker for some cute strappy shoes with a wedge heel.

 

A girl can get me to do anything she wants with the right shoes....
