...like a light spring breeze? Advertising people try to commercialize those feelings way too much, especially in laundry detergent commercials. That's so un-cool.
haha I love those ummm ermmmmms the penis pill commercial.. I cant remember what it is.........ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm anyways the annoying ones with the whistling..... and then there's one with hot dogs in it and one with a football team....
oh and for the whole umm labeling thing you cant label a person a hippie or a poser or anything because a person is a person label her MEGAN if you have to label her anything ..... I mean if you think about it is anyone truly 100% anything... DONT THINK SO!!! uhh duh ......even I knew that Im pretty fucking stupid
hey.. i like leather jackets and motorcycles i dont get why.. she would trade stuff in? like.. cos.. she didnt want it anymore? what thread
Actually, she's put various labels on herself multiple times, while each time she "changes" she dislikes what she was before. Her dreads, how she used to call herself a "hippie"... I wouldn't have started this thread if she herself hadn't put those labels on herself and then make threads about how she's "changed" "Trading stuff in" is a figure of speech But I'm sure you remember... when she first started posting, she called herself a "hippie", then when she saw that to do that is the "unhip" thing to do, she changed to saying "yeah, i like hippies, but I'm definitely not one"... then when the "hip" thing to do was to shave off your hair, look who followed that trend! Now that Kristen's "beatnikness" has become known (altho she's been talking about it since she first came here... she's cool :d ), Meg *coincidentally* makes a thread about how she's now a "beatnik". She also posted in the "Note to White People With Dreads" thread, because she's now against them, since dreads are the "unhip" thing. It's in my nature to be an asshole whistle blower. :H.. http://www.hipforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=76147&page=1&pp=10
I don't see what the big deal of a teen girl following fashion trends is. It's natural...that's like blaming a teen boy for liking video games, or blaming an old person for being boring.
People pretty much define themselves by comparing themselves to others, so I'd think it's completely natural for anyone (especially for a teenager) to change their opinions about themselves a lot, and also the way they label themselves. Even when you choose not to label yourself... you've already made a label. So.. lets just accept each other the way we are, yea?
what the mother..........i'm not a beatnik. i just like reading their stuff and whatnot. i was never really a hippie. i just liked exploring the culture. that's the problem with the internet, when people can't actually see what others are like and they just go by what we post or whatever... i AM myself. i just like occupying myself learning about other types of people. sheesh.
You can be... if you're up for the job, that is. I'm proud to be a recovering video game addict. I've been clean for months...
i'm not posing as anything. i never did. i never dressed like a hippie or a beatnik or anything. i don't own any tye dye clothing, i don't have any peace sign jewelry or any of that shit. i'm not a beatnik. i own a black turtleneck. woop de doo. but you would NEVER catch me running around snapping my fingers at a coffeehouse. i don't follow trends. i never have. chuck. don't be a fuckhead and tell me how i am, when you clearly do not know me at all, as do none of you, except possibly george, on some level.
(i've had it up to here wiht hippies....ahahhaha.. well.... i was pretending to be a beatnik for a few days. i admit to that. bwahahha.)
