also if you need help... call a temp agency , you can get some big boys to move the heavy shit for around $40 each... 1/2 day
My family has moved over 30 times since I was adopted at 5. We've always either used u-haul or our own horse trailers to do it. So I guess my suggestion would have to be u-haul. And if you're near the Indianapolis area I've got me and a few cats that'd be willing to help.
wow, you guys are great. Hubby works in central city/ blackhawk so its already a commute. i think location is our biggest obstacle for where to move to. His grandparents own the property we are on now, its a double duplex, and 3 are lived in by family. it was 4, but one had to move to a nursing home. i could build a more comfortable place to live with my bare hands, it just has so many pitfalls. I thought we'd have more time. we were even offered the difference in rent until we can find a new place, but i don't need any more guilt money over my head. we'll probably have to get a storage unit for awhile, which wouldn't be so bad if we could sift through all our possessions first. its just so much work! plus we can't move anywhere until i get a copy of my SScard, birth certificate (from NY) and a drivers license (terrified, i might just get an ID again) not to mention the same pile of paperwork for hubby and baby, because i became retarded and put them all together in a folder and put it away somewhere. we want a house, but can't afford it, plus we have pockmarks in our credit, so its not likely we can find a loan. we want some land so we can be semi self sufficient, but the land i've found is either nauseatingly expensive or in an area we don't want to live. Having everything stand up to shove you down is just crappy. guess sometimes you just gotta take it. imma go smoke myself stupid. the world will surely look greener tomorrow.
Sounds to me like the only part you're really gonna have trouble with is packing. I was a mover for a year and actually moving stuff isn't that bad. its cleaning and all that shit. find yourself some adderall or something of the like to make packing fun!
the best moving tip i ever got and used the last time i moved was to use shrink wrap for all books, cd's, dvd's and things of that nature. it eliminates the hassle of looking for, packing, unpacking and disposing of the boxes and is way easier to move around. plus less bulk, more space.
