I agree. As an open-minded, nonjudgmental bisexual (maybe pansexual?) guy who's always had a soft spot in my heart, great admiration and empathy for transgender WOMEN, I personally think the words "tranny" (transsexual) and "shemale" are derogatory and offensive. I realize most transgender women don't look anything like what you see in porn videos (then again, porn is pretty much all FANTASY), but I think it takes real inner strength for transgender women to be true and authentic to themselves in a world that's not always welcoming. The effort transgender woman make to be as girly and feminine as possible is amazing and inspiring to me, and I honestly believe a lot of cis women could/should take a page out of their book, as a lot of cis women (not necessarily all) take their femininity for granted. I firmly believe that as long as a transgender woman knows in her own heart and mind that she's a WOMAN, then she's a woman, regardless of what's between her legs or other people's shallow, "self righteous" opinions. Transgender women are real people, with real feelings, and they deserve love and respect just like everyone else.

To answer the actual question...
If I wasn't married (and love my wife very much), then yes, I certainly would not hesitate to persue and date a transgender woman if there was mutual attraction.

I have no interest in someone who would see me in that terminology. It is very derogatory. We are not fetishes nor are we sex objects. Fail.
