^^^ ikr? I wonder how far they got into that 8.9gs before shit went sour. And them damn kids must had noses of steel.
Not sure about that. Firing a gun into a crowd would be different if you had no idea what a gun did, or how it did it. He seems to have been a fucking retard who didn't research shit, he was snorting the same lines he was cutting. How fuckin loaded WAS this guy? Fucking 8.9g's? Free for everyone?
What I orignially had a problem with is the overly simplified identification of 2ce and ectasy, as in, "2ce, a substance with effects similar to ectasy,..." I read this in multiple articles and there was no further information about the effects. I'm just saying it isn't a good thing to perpetuate as it might be fine to snort a line or two of ectasy but not 2ce, and the effects would be quite different.
8.9g spread out over, what was it, 11 people? ~800mg per person. Damn. Of course that's assuming they used all of it. Even if they only used half, that's still an astronomical amount.
What was reported was that the cops found 8.9g in a vial in the guys pocket when they found him passed out in the snow. That reportedly tested positive as 2c-e. No one has reported exactly how much the 11 people did. Actually, I haven't read anything that they have positively determined WHAT they did.
I'm under the impression he started with 10g, and they snorted 1.1 total, giving them an average of 100mg, maybe several hundred grams for the kid that died, less for some.
Ah, ok. I hadn't read that. Makes sense. Did you read somewhere that the guy said that what he passed out actually came from the vial of 2ce ? Ive read many times that 2ce is what they found in his pocket but havent heard that anyone positively said that's what they snorted.
Ya, the facts here seem very hazy. It's more than a little disturbing how eagerly (even gleefully) the authorities seem to be vilifying 2C-E over this, while seemingly having no interest whatsoever in providing/discovering accurate information about 1) the actual effects of 2C-E, or 2) how much those kids actually snorted, what other drugs they were on, whether anybody even had 2C-E in their system, etc. "It's a drug, it killed someone, let's ban it!"
The kids apparently said they snorted it and put it in drinks (I'm assuming alcohol) http://www.startribune.com/local
No shit. And calling it fucking "Europa" to give GQ public a devil's face to put on 2ce really adds the ammo to this crusade ala "angel dust" style. Perfect comparison Writer. It appears to be just as I suspected. Some goddamn rich kid's mommy and daddy left him the mansion while on holiday for the weekend, he invited all of his chums over to party hardy, this douche shows up with a shovel full of 2ce, dumps it on a table, everyone gets into a frenzy surely thinking that they can rail the shit like it's coke, and that poor bastard finds out what the LD50 of 2ce is, they dump in the parking lot at the ER like a piece of trash, and now they're nailing the douchebag who brought it to the Animal House all by his lonesome. The kids who left him to die should be held accountable as well IMO. I agree with porkstock that we should show some compassion toward the little 19 year old fucker who ruined the scene for all of us, but I still contend that the gene pool doesn't need peeps that don't read up on potentially hazardous activities before doing them. What would you all think if you'd read some novice put on a hang glider and jumped off a cliff without first getting a running start, training for the sport, etc.? You'd all probably think the same thing I would, how fucking stupid was that.
I would like to add something to this thread.. it seems like these kids had no idea what to do when it came to their friend being in a medical crisis. He stopped breathing and they drove him to the hospital and dumped him there (at least as far as I can tell). If you're going to play around with drugs it might be a good idea to know how to perform CPR/artificial breathing. Not only are these valuable skills for someone who's going into problems during drug use, but it's a valuable skill to know overall. These kids might have been able to save their friend's life, and even though I'm not trying to call them stupid I think it's important that drug users know how to act in a medical crisis.
For sure. With any drug you take or that people around you take, you should know what an OD or other potentially harmful effects look(s) like, and you should know how to treat it and have all supplies necessary. Even "pulp fiction" tells us this.
Ya, you have a point. Not exactly the right analogy but close. I suppose its more like... handing out a random powder for people to snort.
And then when someone stops breathing, forgetting your boy scoutin' lessons and dumping them in a parking lot, instead of giving rescue breathing. I expect the guy could have been saved with no lasting damage if ANYONE had known what the fuck was going on or how to handle an emergency.
Imo I believe it was 2C-E they consumed but I suspect it was combo'd with other drugs. I've never had anything more than a slightly elevated heartrate on even an insane dose of 2C-E, but when I combined it with large amounts of caffeine and nicotine I had so much vasoconstriction it hurt to walk and my heartrate and blood pressure were insane. So a death in combo with other stimulants wouldn't surprise me at all. Edit: Wait what? 9g? o.o
9 grams is how much he had left when he got busted, people! doesn't give any indication to how much they actually ingested.
"The drug, Kruse said, "hits you hard right away and then hits you again 20 minutes after that."" Doesn't sound like 2C-E...
Sounds like every single drug (including 2ce) I've snorted ever, the 20 minute peak is definitely limiting though.
