I guess this explains it. I am going for natural dreads, and I don't want to knock the other methods. But I'm guessing that all the people with natural locks would be against normal shampoo and people who got them differently have been used to using products like this.
Not everyone thinks like that dude. I have more or less natural locks and I started out with regular shampoo... Not everyone starts their journey on the web or with people they can ask questions. Like I said before, there aren't any rules to having dreadlocks other than patience, everything else may or may not have an effect and to varying degrees with different people. It's perfectly acceptable to poke fun at people who are different , but why are you so surprised that they exist?
I wouldn't say I'm surprised, But I've been reading and answering questions on this forum for awhile and there are few things that have been repeated over and over again when it comes to dreads. And one of them is that you wash with a residue free soap, I guess it's just ingrained in my head. But yea I understand that there are no "rules" when it comes to dreads, so if it works it works.
