My dad is the loudest eater ever... Ugh... But he gets pissed when I mention it because he says he cant breath... Then he finishes the meal with a pack of cigs...

On the bright side if someone eats that loudly they're also eating fast too, so you shouldn't have to listen to it for long.

 

It's not even the crunching that grosses me out.. it's all the bodily noises people make while eating.. groaning, heavy breathing, the sounds their tongue makes while they're swishing their food and saliva around their mouth, lip smacking.. I don't eat around others and I am very conscious about the way I look and sound while eating, it's horrible and I try my best to eat as little as possible

Put on your best pair of headphones then eat...

Hell you cant even drink water and youll know what i mean.

 

I don't use headphones because I don't listen to music, so I don't own like an ipod or anything that requires headphones

and oh my gooodddd I HATE the noise people thats make when they're greedily sucking down a glass of water or something. like slow down nobody is gonna take it from you!

 

I am not a fan of hearing people eating or seeing food in their mouths but usually I can ignore it.

If not, I guess I would have to move away from them.

I honestly do not think that most people realize that they do it.

 

eating loudly isn't that bad. i want to shoot you in the lungs if i can hear you breathing though.

edit: the first page only loaded halfway so i assumed it was a short thread and i missed most of it before posting. now i think i probably just insulted someone who posted earlier...

 

I'm going to move to Ethiopia so I don't have to deal with loud eating anymore.

FACT.

I used to work with some dude that expressed his appreciation of good food by smacking his lips as loud as he could while moaning and grunting "mmm mmm mmm". I dreaded eating lunch with him.

Me too!

This guy bob.. nobody ate lunch while he was eating.. he would moan and grunt through his nose and make like orgasmic noises while he was eating.. and he did it no matter what he was eating. It was horribly disgusting and we still make fun of him to this day

 

lol, the guy I used to work with was named Bob too. And yeah I thought he was going to leave a sticky mess in his pants no matter how unpalatable the food.

not if he is shuffling every bite from the left to the right side of his mouth and back 42 times.

Noone is named Bob here, but I will call that guy Bob from now on .

UGH!!! I can't stand people who make noise when they eat. In high school I used to bitch at my best friend all the time for it. It never worked so I just stopped eating around here, it makes me sick.
