It's Thursday the 24th at 10:30 am. Is it really not bad? The only surgery I've ever had is when I broke my ankle. I'm worried about that. Even though she says it will be real short. I have some health issues, high blood preassure, diabetes, asthma. So any kind of surgery worries me.

Kathi, this is not uncommon for perimenopausal women.

(Let me just rant that this doctor was extremely unprofessional! I would definately file a complaint about this.)

Have you tried taking Evening Primrose oil? It's a natural progesterone supplement which regulates the uterine lining. Also, drinking red raspberry tea (it's not just for pregnancy!). Homeopathic Sabina also slows excessive bleeding.

I have heard that a D&C is not a big deal, but you will need someone to drive you home and take it easy for a few days afterwards while you recover from the anesthesia.

Well I had the D & C yesterday and you're all right, it wasn't bad at all. The only problem I have today is that my back is sore. The guy couldn't find the spot between the vertebrae to put the needle in for the antesthetic. He must have jabbed my back 4 or 5 times. I think he knew he messed up cause he called this morning to see if I was okay. I don't remember anything about the procedure. When I woke up I was freezing and shaking all over. They gave me a tiny bit of demoral and that made the shaking stop. Within a couple of hours I was feeling well enough to go home. Was pretty tired all evening but otherwise okay. Today, other than the sore back, I'm fine. But I'm still bleeding. They said this should stop today sometime but it's so frustrating. I'm so tired of bleeding. It's been six months. Since I'm post menopausal, this should not be happening. But hopefully it will end soon and everything seems to be okay.

Thanks for all your kind thoughts during this ordeal.

Prayers and healing loving thoughts for you and your family.

An epidural can really make you shake something awful, as can other anesthetics. I am glad your surgery went well, but I hope your back and bleeding are better soon.

    Blessings,

    Maggie
