i'd like to be able to look in a mirror and see what i looked like in other past and future lives on other worlds. i can never seem to find a mirror that works that way.

because the true self is not anything physical, a mirror that reflected it, would show nothing physical. such a mirror would itself require some non-physical means of observation.

now i know some people, with the aid of certain biochemistry, may have seen how their inner spirit for whatever reason seems to picture themselves.

in the early days of furry, there were a much greater percentage of us who saw themselves that way.

but i've always seen my true self as completely non-physical, whatever physical form, in whatever life, it might happen to be bonded with for that particular life.

but i am curious, i would love to see, the diversity of some of those otheres.

I once looked into a mirror for 2 days and 7 hours straight. My commitment was such that I soiled myself terribly. Twice! However, I didn't go insane because, basically, you can't go where you already are--some law of physics I guess. It started unintentionally one morning when I was combing my hair the day after getting what had to be the best haircut of my life. The humidity was not too high and not too low. Conditions were perfect; the hair did what I said. The next thing I know, it's two days later, and I've got the worst case of diaper rash of my life, which is really saying something when you consider that I was a hopeless alcoholic for many years.

In my own defense, I have to say that the perfect haircut coupled with my unbelievable good looks simply took me unawares. Believe me when I tell you that to know me was to love me, but to see me was to really, really love me. Yeah, I was vain, but I had what it took to back up that vanity with plenty of beauty to spare.

    No.

Every time I look I'm struck by how sad and haggared I look. Then I start feeling it.

....then I usually do some damage to the pores on my face.

if i saw someone else, i'm not sure i'd realize it was someone else, but if i did realize it, then i'd just figure whoever they were had some odd way of using it as a communication device.

i'm one of those strange people who LIKE strange things. i don't associate strangeness with scarry. there's too much more scarry in everyday life for it to make sense to do so.

that's the thing about furry and alien. i'd love to see something like that staring back.

It's no myth. Narcissus was my great, great, great, etc. grandfather.
