i like soulrebel51 (as if anyone couldn't tell), but i don't like the word crush, it doensn't sound significant enough
Well, I dated a guy that usedta visit Texas, from Ohio and I met all of his friends, when I went there and ya'll are just so awesome, everyone that I met, ya'll are fun, great attitudes, and sexy or most of the Ohioans I met anyway
Ahh, I see. Well, I guess Ohioans are good people... and I guess there are a lot of good looking people here too... but there are also rude, dog-faced brutes in Ohio.
This is going to sound really bad, and really rude, but don't take it that way. My question would be, by what means do you go about developing a crush on someone whom you've only seen in a few pictures and whom you've only seen post a few times their interests, beliefs and opinions? It just seems a bit far off to me. I can see developing one if you've been talking to them on AOL subsequently for the past few months or something, but I can't see it if you've only known them through this board. So, I guess the answer would be no, on my side.
so use aim.. thats how i got my crush. fuck the boards.. aim lets you get to know a person (hopefully)
This is going to sound really bad, and really rude, but don't take it that way. Not going to. My question would be, by what means do you go about developing a crush on someone whom you've only seen in a few pictures and whom you've only seen post a few times their interests, beliefs and opinions?Because that's not all I know about her and I've talked offline as well and I'm visiting in a couple weeks. And as Mary put it, I don't like the word crush... it sounds too insignificant. It just seems a bit far off to me. I felt the same way beforehand. I can see developing one if you've been talking to them on AOL subsequently for the past few months or something, Try everyday for the past year. but I can't see it if you've only known them through this board. So, I guess the answer would be no, on my side. If you see this I still mean it.
Well, that's beautiful man! That was my point entirely. Get to know that person offline. Although, I guess it would also depend on how one defines the word "crush". I don't define it as just an early infatuation on physical attributes. I agree, though, crush is a bit of a sophomoric term.
i agree...u might be able to talk really well with a person and then have no chemistry when you're with each other.... so i guess what im saying is i like a person through interacting not necessarily just talking (although conversation is highly important). and talking online is just so dehumanizing (yes i do realize im being somewhat of a hypocrite) but theres just something about actually touching the person and seeing their eyes.... im a hopeless romantic. much love and peace
Yeah, I guess it can be. Atleast online if you type something really stupid you have a chance to stare at it for a minute or two to think about if it's stupid. In person, even if you think about what you say you generally end up blurting out something really stupid at some point anyway.
