Haunted House?

i have ghost(s) in my house.
its a very old house that my dad's great grandparents first lived in, and then generations after that until my dad finally got the house.

things will be taken from us (random objects) and then put back in its original spot a couple months later..
me and my mom can hear people whisper our names some nights
my brother sees shadows in his room at night and can hear them walking around
one time my brother was sleeping and he could hear somebody standing by his bed saying "dylan!" and it sounded like a girl. he looked around his room and didn't see anything.
another time, my brother was home by himself and he went upstairs to shower.. when he returned to his room his computer chair, his clothes hamper, and his bow and arrow was laying on his bed
the ghosts always seem to pick on my brother the most lol.. he hates it!
sometimes he has nightmares about a little girl thats in our basement, and he'll wake up with marks on his body like brush burns.

 

Our ghost-guy (we sought "professional" help) told us that if we didn't want it there we should tell it to go (like the fuck you thing I guess) but if someone in the home still wanted it to be there, it would remain.

We had to get good and sick of it before we noticed it subside. We also had a cleansing of our home done.

Mind you, something happened about 2 years ago right out of the blue when we had friends over playing cards. A toy flew across the dining room. No shit.

 

Yeah. We noticed that it happened especially heavily when we were doing renos to our home.

 

Really, I honestly believe that if you tell it to piss off and mean it, that should do the trick.

 

We had two ghosts living in our high school auditorium. One of them looked like a transparent version of our Algebra teacher/baseball coach. Now, that's just hearsay, I never saw them up close, I saw one in the light booth once, but that was too far from where I was to make out any details at all. But yeah, I totally believe in hauntings and such. Funny thing is, both the high school and the jr. high here in town were built side by side on what used to be a trash dump. You can only imagine what oddities happen when it rains...it's like a large slightly unsanitary lake of a playground (lol, yeah, the jr. high still has a playground). But seeing as it used to be a dump and all, there's a huge possibility of ghosts. They built the high school a long ass time ago, back in the early 50's, I believe, and the jr. high was added in the 70's, so that was all waaaay before this CSI stuff. I completely believe someone likely got away with murder there apparently twice, at least.

 

when I die I am not going back to my workplace I'll tell you that!

 

so night before last, dave was cooking up his special batch of baked spaghetti, it's his pride and joy. anyway, he was looking EVERYWHERE for the fennel seeds. it's just not right wihtout the fennel. we took the kitchen apart, removed EVERYTHING from the spice cabinet, examined it, put it back. then went through all the other cabinets. dave started looking through the refridgerator next, maybe i put it in there with the capers last time i cooked. but it wasn't there. i was going through the snacks cabinet. then we both turned around and the bottle of fennel seeds was sitting right there on the edge of the counter we had just cleared. we both got goosebumps.

 

Hot Tap in Bathroom still Randomly Turns Itself on...

Although Not for Some Weeks Though...

 

I totally believe in ghosts, but all me friends dont and that kinda pisses me off, but i believe in them 100%

 

Not saying I don't believe you, but, doesn't it seem like a ghost should be able to come up with something a bit creepier than fucking with your spices? Just saying... :leaving:

 

u would be very surprised what they would do, not something creepy, thats for the cheesy movies, but take an object for a while, and then put it back or in a different lace, turn a computer on, and one also loved changing the channel to the cartoon network. oh one bed and breakfast, the spices all were missing, and the a few days later found on something wierd, i think it was a piano, i forget. i only once saw a mans face come out of a wall and freak the fuck out of me and two other people, when a little girl said that she was talking to someone, when she was talking to the wall, we ask who, and look closely, and the head just came right out and flew between us, we all 3 ran like fucking hell outside, and screamed the whole time. Thats a ghost that wants to CREEP you out!

 

In my experiencethey like to do playful things and they love to move jewlery, watches, turn off appliances, televisions... I would doubt it was " the ghost", and its back and forth with your mind until something super obvious happens and you talk to others in the house who have had experiences.

I always disbelive people's stories first... unless they've actually seen something and I trust them. "A Feeling" is just not enough for me to go on. Like "oh the room got cold" sort of thing. That is subjective in my opinion.

 

My boyfriend believes in ghosts, but I don't think he believes in what happens at my house...

So last night, we were watching TV and I was reading my book (Blue Highways-got the idea from you guys in the book forum-THANK YOU!) and all of a sudden, that tap happened on my front door in my screened in porch, so he looked at me and I didn't look up because I'm so used to it-and he said "look over at the window" and there was a slight shadow that looked like it was glowing-like it was a different color than the darkness outside. So, I went over to the door and looked out and I saw a face looking in then disappear-like it ran away. I went out there and my screen door flung open and closed a few times, so I pushed it open and followed it. It went into my shed, so I went in there...and something fell off the top shelf.

That was the extent of it last night.

I've done plenty of investigations-scientific and spiritual. I live in a 3-decker and it was built around 1912. My landlord's father used to live here and they moved him into their new house, and he died a short time after. Me and my neighbor think it's him.

I've heard every name called here but mine-the one name I hear very very often is "Patty" but when I did some research on this house, no one ever lived here named Patty. Before my landlord's parents bought the place in 1920, however, there was a young girl that died here on the first floor of a form of the flu. Even then, I know I have more than one spirit haunting me-I think they are both males...at least I know one is.

I'm beginning to believe someone got shot here, or around here. I've been hearing at night a lot of groans and a few screams. That's not why I think someone got shot here-my neighbor told me he heard a gunshot in his kitchen the other night and asked if i heard it-I didn't, but I have heard loud bangs-I'd be half asleep when I hear them, so I don't want to assume it's gunshots. He said he's heard it a few times.

I've had some sort of activity everywhere I've lived. I'm beginning to believe that everywhere has some sort of activity-it just matters on how you take it. I became sensitive to this stuff when I was a kid and a little girl used to visit me in my room late at night. She'd ask to play with my toys and I'd always tell her she could, but once I said that, she'd leave...so I started saying no and she'd stay-sitting on the end of my bed, swinging her feet like little kids do (although I could never see her feet). There were over a dozen people that died in the house I grew up in, as there were 3 fires there between the time it was originally built in 1725 and the time it was redone in 1975.

I could go on for days-LOL
