i lived in spain for abour half a year and smoked mostly good morrocan hash. but that was smoking it with tobacco in joints, and as a non-tobacco smoker, smoking unfiltered hash/tobacco joints became a little rough. i think that´s why the 2 times i´ve been to amsterdam, i really didnt have that much hash. i focused mostly on weed. when i go back in march (for Jam in the Dam), i´ll definitely be trying more hash. i learned to roll joints, different rolling methods, different smoking styles, etc. all in spain. so it seems weird to me to smoke hash straight or to smoke hash and weed together. of course, i´ve smoked it those ways, but it just seems more "right" to smoke it with tobacco. hash cooked in food is pretty incedible, too. such a unique high....really pleasant. i was was lost for 3 hours in amsterdam just wandering around trying to find my way before i even thought to look at a map that i had with me. anyways, most of the hash i got in spain was decent for a decent price. couldnt really complain about it usually. i think i was paying around 5 euros for a gram, but it was usually 3-4 maybe. that was in 2003 so i kinda forget. and as far as US prices... that was maybe 5-8$US? the only hash that i ever see in the US now is a gram of shitty stuff for AT LEAST $20. for good stuff (apparently "good stuff" - i usually dont even see it because the price turns me away) it´ll run upwards of $40 a gram. and i know that it´s not even going to be that good.
