It's obvious to anyone who understands what's going on and how the power structure works. Presidents are nothing more than frontmen for the power elite. That's all.
And you're just some nut who doesn't trust anyone in Washingting, you're seriously telling me the President doesn't have any real power or decision making abilities? Please, it's a conspiracy theory, and you're actually making judgements about candidates based on it? And you're saying Obama only says he'll cut back on military spending and stop the Iraq war because that's what people want to hear? Right.
yeah, because politicians NEVER just say stuff to get elected (you tell him nixon) and the thing is, you are insane, and you actually believe in this paradigm you are presenting. THAT is terrifying.
So instead of some proof, I get childish insults, I can see the kind of intellect I'm dealing with here, just a couple of cynics going by a conspiracy theory, I'll stick to what's real, thanks.
no... You'll stick to being brainwashed and scary, no thank you done arguing with you what more proof do you need than common sense oh wait that's not very common is it... ?
The president's power is 90% figurative. The decision making ability the president does have is based on the information fed to him by his advisors, who are always far more "in the loop" than the president himself. Yes, it's the same case with almost every politician. They will say pretty much whatever they think the public wants to hear in order to be elected.
I am 21, I have not lived life at all, and I can see through this bill of goods obama is selling, I really do not find it credible that this show is convincing to anyone who hasn't been lobotomized by overexposure to shit culture and bad drugs. that being said, I think most americans have been.
Ditto, I was just agreeing with you that it's terrifying... these "beliefs" Watching the president is like watching a zombie on a string
"The president's power is 90% figurative. The decision making ability the president does have is based on the information fed to him by his advisors, who are always far more "in the loop" than the president himself." 90%? Really, where did that statistic come from? And of course the president makes decisions based on the info his advisors give him, don't tell me that you think that unless the president does every single bit of research himself, he's simply being used. If you're going to make a claim that presidents are just public faces and have no real power, you're going to need to back it up, and you can't, so you're theory is just that, a theory. Look, I love a good conspiracy theory, and I'm all for it if there's some compelling evidence, but you guys aren't giving me anything to work with here besides "oh, it's so obvious".
look, I know more about rhetoric, politicking, and dirty tricks than you probably ever will. this is not a childish perspective, this is how the world is Obama is owned by people who will give him a great pension, and a do nothing job, along with all kinds of perks after he leaves the senate, if he wins the presidency, he WILL be hired as a consultant, by pretty much every company he has helped, and he will make millions off the favors his administration does for companies during any tenure he has you aren't ready to understand now, you may never be, this isn't cynicism, this is how things are.
Just look at the current president. Do you seriously believe he runs anything, or even has the capability to run anything?
So because one guy is an idiot and probably has to rely on his advisors and people around him really running the show, that means actual intelligent, vision holding people can't run things? If George Bush is your best piece of evidence that presidents are nothing more than figureheads, that's just not good enough.
