Hello Everyone, I hope it's ok to pop into your house, I've not been in here before.

Old Tiger, I first stumbled across that song when watching The Runaways movie, I love that song. I think Kristen Stewart sang it in the film, but I've heard Joan Jett singing it (it sounds the same to me) and I love it.

I have a keyboard I intend to learn to play (one of these days), I imagine Jesus Christ Superstar would be very impressive to play. I fancy learning Bohemian Rhapsody on it, though I think it will take a lot of practice for me to be able to play that. I can just about play Frere Jacques on it at the moment, and I am so rusty I can hit the wrong keys!

 

Took a vacation last weekend. Figured i would get caught up with everything this weekend.but now i have to make an emergency trip to nj this weekend. Putting everything and then some behind for another week.

 

@Happy Art Girl...yeah...Joan Jett..got famous with her song I love rockn'roll...
we do not hear much from her anymore,me thinks...she's 57 and i think her glory period was in the 80's...
i particulary liked that song crimson and clover as well in the version of Joan Jett..

I love rock n roll I also like by Joan Jett, I've been slowly discovering more of her music recently. She may well be slowing down a bit musically now, but you can watch her old videos on youtube and it feels almost as if she is young and active right now!

Please do tell me how to embed a video. I managed to copy the youtube embed code, it's just how to put it in the forum post so that it shows. Copying & Pasting didn't work, I tried the silver button at tope left of the post editing button, and Special BBCode button, selecting media, but that didn't work either. So if you could enlighten me :bulb: , I would be very grateful! Thank you!

Well I sure hope everyone is doing well! Hopefully staying out of trouble!

I'm so very excited, I'll be 18 here in just a few weeks, December 4th. Woohoo! Been working and neglecting going to school like I should, but we gotta get the farm ready for winter. It's supposed to start snowing any minute now.....boo I don't mind the snow, just the ice and snow on the roads. I'm pretty excited for all the xmas decor though

 

I am not greedy, I don't need a million dollars or nothing like that. however it sure would be nice to see what life would be like if I had that much!

 

Hitch hike to Key West and bum around there and sleep on the beach. It would be like that.
Only with satin sheets and champagne. And a yacht.

There is no way to express how much I admire a person that has and works a farm. My grandmother's people were working farm people...I remember going over there and feeding (worrying) the chickens thoughout my childhood. The grown-ups always kept me away from the livestock, probably because I would have found a way to annoy the ever livin' snot out of them and get kicked in the head or something.

By the time I was a teenager and headed of for yonder parts they had sold off the livestock and "only" farmed the land. Now they are all gone and we have a bit of the land left, but its been 30+ years since its been worked.

I'll always remember and treasure how wonderful that farm felt when it was going...and I'll always know working a farm is a special thing.

 

hi guys.. Mary (Shameless Heifer) posted on facebook that Ranger is ill in a hospice..he has many friends on hipforums but didn't visit recently.. I feel sad & hope Rita is bearing up well..

If you can read this then I wanna say we all think about you and wish you a speedy recovery..
RIta..we all know you'll have to be extra strong now...you can count on all of us in this house...

Yeah guys, That's what I dropped in to report. Rita called me twice, now. She says that Ranger is in really bad shape. On oxygen and he's too weak to talk. Hospice is where they take you to die. That's where he is. Otherwise they would have taken him to the Veteran's Administration hospital.

Severe C.O.P.D. Lungs. He's 70 something. Pretty sad.

I got days...when i think a lot about life and everything what it can be or should be..other days...i don't care a shit what happens to this world because trying to change injustice is like looking for a hairipin in a haystack...anyway...let's try to make the best of everything..the way to find out about your happiness..is to keep your mind on the moments..when we really ARE happy..not excited, not just thrilled, but deeply happy...this requires a little bit of self-analysis..what is it that makes us happy? I say==stay with it, no matter what people tell you...this is what I call,following your bliss...If you do follow your bliss, you put yourself on a kind of track.. that has been there all the while..waiting for you.. and the life that you ought to be living..is the one you ARE living... wherever you are..if you are following your bliss..you are enjoying that refreshment.. that force of life within you,all the time...when you can see that..you begin to meet people.. who are in the field of your bliss.. and they open doors for you... I say,follow your bliss and don't be afraid..
and doors will open..where you didn't know they were going to be..I also wanna say..we all have off days..days of pain and sorrow..
but obstacles and problems..should be able to tell us what's exactly wrong within ourselves..if we run into a wall..we should not turn around and give up..but..we should try to figure out HOW to climb it,go through it,or work around it..a true friend helps..because these kind of friends..know WHO you are,understands where you have been,and know and feels what you're going through...real friends do not judge eachother..on the contrary...they might tell you the hard facts..but they invite you for a solution..and they give you that extra kick of life....which we all need on a day when we don't feel good..to be honest to you all...it's worthwhile investigating ourself..and learn to trust a real friend who offers a helping hand...
