It's all about "Real".

 

I think some people are in a real fantasy world...and not the good kind of fantasy world like our house here. the bad kind where they hurt people in real life because of their fantasy life.

 

Yeah. Anybody who is liven in the real world gets it that we are moving at 1000 miles per hour as the Earth spins around in 24 hours. They live in the real picture. Then how fast does the Earth fly around the Sun? And, Like, the Sun is going around the center of the galaxy traveling at over a 1000 miles a minute. And I'm not even going to tell you how fast our Milky Way galaxy is flying through space.

How can anyone be being real until they figure out that their life is just a piece of dust in the wind. Their job and their reality is not real. From there, you can start to GROW. Oooooommm.

Do a web search on the word MAYA in the Hindu sense. Illusion. This life. This reality.

 

I don't think the people near the axis are moving that fast.

It gets smaller with the latitude going toward the North or south pole. You gotta do the math for where you live. You are right.
But you're still going faster then 60 mph unless you're standing at a pole.

that is some math that is beyond me. I know its 24 hours and 90* but I don't know how much faster per degree and I am sure it goes up exponentially. hmmm does this mean I am moving faster than my neighbor a block north of me?

Think of a circle. The equator as the circle line. Think of looking down from "Space" above the North Pole. The North Pole would be a black dot in the middle of that circle.

You are right. If you are on the north pole (same for the South Pole.) you are standing in one place where it would take 24 hours for you to turn in a full circle like a pirouette. (like one full ballet spin) .

Now the Equator of the Earth is just over 24 thousand miles around. As it spins.
One day. 24 hours. Just over 24 thousand miles around. Very simple math at the equator. 1,000 miles per hour.
At the Poles. Zero. You just spin in a day. 24 hours. Not moving.

To do the math for where you live, you need to think the polar flat map. The dot with the circle Equator. Your lesser circle. Calculate your longitude as a lesser radius then the Equator. Then that circle and it's radius can give you the Pi time R or radius. No confusion Here. That will give you the circumference or how many miles around as a full circle for where you live. (either north or south )

Then your circle distance is compared to 24 hours.

Simple.
When you know how it works.
