I would say==Maura===a true Irish Old hippie in old it's aspects..but..that's not all..
being a hippie..I think..it's more..sharing whatever negative or positive which comes into our life patterns?
we all see good and positive vibes in our daily life...fact is???can we deal with it?

Although Iowa is pretty hot right now, it's a beautiful, sunny day. It would be better if I was at the lake, but this will do just as well. It makes me so happy when it's sunny, breezy, and the weather is just perfect. It makes me feel like the world is at peace

I have a patch of wildflowers growing in the backyard, two of the plants starting budding I'm super excited! My daisies are looking excellent as well.

 

My problem is I dont have enough time to do the yard work and the chipper and chain saw don't start.

 

The way things have been going....as exhausted as I am....I'm about ready to ACTUALLY move into a VIRTUAL REALITY home. First thing I want is a big bear hug from Tiger

I like the sound of the desert. I also like the sound of the dessert.
but in the desert there is no pool to jump into. everything is very dry, even the pool.

 

Boy oh boy. Even the smallest of desert towns have a public pool now-a-days. Where I am, about 1 in 4 houses have a pool and every apartment complex has one or two pools. Plus there are aqueducts running through the towns.

Tonight Easy Rider on a television sender here..I've seen this movie perhaps 5 times... :bandana:
when it came out in 1969 it won a best film price at the Cannes festival..
in my opinon this movie shows the spirit of sex,drugs and rockn'roll...
and also the fact rednecks against anything?or anyone who behaved a bit not to their norms...

Yeah Tiger, it's true. they are out there in the world "freewheeling" and they don't really realize what they are all about or who they really are. They are searching. Seeking truth.

The small town lawyer character is the person who is looking at them from the outside looking in. In the conversation, he even seems surprised that they don't get it. He does see them for what they truly are. He even has to explain it to them, that they are real FREEDOM itself. This surprises them. But then they really do get IT. They do understand themselves.

He goes on to say that that is why they scare other people to death. Because others live in denial, and think that they are really free, when they are slaves.

 

WE are now in the year 2015,Kenny..it was different in 1969...things have changed...i think for the worse even... :devil: and that bothers me in a way..
the values we had in 1969...are pushed back,destroyed...or under estimated?but..believe me..in this house..we got the RIGHT people...
who still believe in these values..and that warms my hearth..it really DOES..

Yes, Tiger. And that is one of the first reasons that I started this house. To try and find a hand full of people who felt those very values and who might wish to try and work together and try to bring them all back. To give that wealth to those who are younger and had never had that kind of experience. Most people today have no idea of what it even is. We hold the very secrets of what true beauty is and how to get there, but no one wants to listen or learn.


Now if I were to write a book and then charge people $500 for a 3 day seminar then they would all come running to listen. But to bring people together for free? Nobody will show up.

Even if you advertise "Sex, Drugs, and Rock 'n' Roll" nobody will show up or be interested.

You can't force people to grow. As, a for instances there are people who take psychedelics and they go down different roads. Some few seek to expand their minds and consciousness and their view of reality and the world and the universe and all of time and space, and to change, grow, develop, and become far greater then they were, with self, and God, and wisdom.

Most others just use it to get high. For escape and diversion. No growth, there.

Can we get a few of us to help to start to change this? Create a new scene?


The first reason that I started this house is to create a new home base for new visiting hippies to just check in. A safe place for a home base. And then a place where friends may come together.

 

I've been writing a book of Laciism. Basically, a giant book of my morals that I can leave behind if I pass, so people know exactly what I want them to know.

 

@Laci...can you tell us bit of the main principles of your Laciism? :bulb:

Laciism is just basically, my moral code of life, I guess.

1) If you have the choice to be compassionate and do no harm- always choose kindness.
2) Only using violence sparingly in self-defense or the defense of an innocent.
3) Be honest, be trustworthy
4) Give as much as you receive, if not more.
5) Treat everyone with fairness

It's long and complex, but basically, be kind to eachother whenever possible and always try to choose peace.
