Mm, how're my favorite people doing? It's so hot. SO hot. Oh god. It started out pretty nice this afternoon- sunny and breezy- but now it's just gross. I've been piddling around in the yard most of the day, enjoying the grass under my bare feet. Took my dog for a walk up the street to this little nature area, she didn't appreciate stopping to photograph the flowers and watch the little fish as I did. Nope, not one bit. She's a minpin, always ready to RUN RUN RUN. I wanted to take my basset hound, but it's too hot for her to do much walking right now, and our alaskan malamute/collie mix is too furry and will get hot as well- so Tegan it was. She fell in the water chasing frogs and it was pretty cute P

 

Also, I tried doing yoga in the backyard. Did not work well. Do not try to stand on one leg on a rock. You will more than likely fall. :C

 

Wanted to make a joke about the heat but it could be taken out of context.
Instead i will tell a dirty joke.

One time a pig fell in the mud.

 

Tiger is never grumpy except when we all leave the house & the silence becomes deafening.. he's all heart, & keeps the house warm & welcoming.. always ready for a party.. I've been partying hard - my first granchild, William, was 9 on sat.. my daughter's birthday was yesterday & my grandaughter will be 4 on the 18th.. my brother & a sister had b'days at the beginning of july.. it's overwhelming..

We're spending our Sunday doing a little baking- Mom is making a chip dip with sliced avocado, onion, black beans, corn, and tomatoes. Mmm<3

 

sounds like there is a yearly tradition in the mvmc family household.
my family seems to revolve around the 13th's of whichever month.

hi hippies.. I'm busy with visitors which is very nice but it's rainy & grim in liverpool, uk.. my name is Maura (those are my initials in my username)..
I don't spend a fortune on presents.. I collect things all the year round in charity shops (thrift shops, stateside), & garden stuff at the end of the season & I keep them for Christmas & birthdays.. I gave my brother a bee/butterfly hotel as he has just bought a house in ireland & it's the first garden that he's owned.. :daisy:
