Awh, Mally! How sweet! I usually celebrate Father's Day with my grandpa since my dad passed away when I was around 3. We had my grandparents up for dinner last week, and then they're spending Father's Day weekend in Colorado at Estes Park. So jealous!

Took my mom out to dinner for fathers day. We were talking to the bartender who is a friend and telling him what we were thinking of getting.
I mentioned the loaded nachos and he said "thats pretty big why dont i get that and if you want anything else i'll get it for you later". That one plate of nachos filled me and my mom up. When they say loaded they mean looooaded.

LOL, I can remember one time, back when I lived in a house full of vegetarians in the Santa Cruz hills in the redwoods. About 6 people. They were always admonishing me because I ate meat and any kind of junk food. So, one day I brought home some groceries, and in one of the bags was a brand name bag of tortilla corn chips. Suddenly 4 of my house mates, there in the kitchen, started getting on my case about buying the chips as a non veggie junk food.

I handed one of them the bag. I said, "Read the ingredients."

He read out loud, "Corn, soy oil or other vegetable oils, salt."

They ate my whole bag of tortilla chips. I never heard another word from them. LOL

    How's everybody?

    LOL
Nachos with no cheese on them would need to be given some other name other then nachos. Wouldn't they???? Nachos by definition are tortilla chips with cheese on them. And maybe some other stuff.

So, by definition, vegan nachos would have no cheese. Since vegans are the strictest of vegetarians. Only vegetables.

Rather then NACHOS, We could call them NOCHEese. LOL

I tried being a real vegetarian, once. It lasted about 6 months. Totally, no fish, no milk products (cheese, yogurt, cakes), no eggs (egg bread, cake), no chicken, no escargot, very little grain, nuts, or fruits. Basically vegetables. That would be vegetarian. What they would call today vegan.

The doctor stated that I was malnourished and said that I needed way more protein. So, that ended that. LOL

    Anyhow, LET'S EAT!

Lets throw a house party !!!!!

your supposed to eat lots of nuts and beans.
its pretty much the reason I would never consider being a vegetarian. it is painful for me to eat beans, limas, chick peas, lentils. it is like eating sandpaper to me but without the good taste.
I guess I could make them into a smoothy if I had to and make it taste even worse. I will just stick to an occasional burger and chicken.

I've been vegan for about 8 years now :) I actually have no trouble getting the nutrients that I need, and I eat a really well-rounded diet. If you're vegetarian/vegan and only eating vegetables, you best believe you'll get malnourished. Where I live, vegan food is really accessible. Anything you can eat, there's a vegan version of. They're all really good :) I personally like to eat a lot of beans, pasta, and proteins. It's never been a big deal for me, and I feel good about it ^_^

You have to worry if the word "food" is part of the name...

I think that "processed cheese food" for feeding to your cheese is now available at PetCo the big box pet store.
