I'm back in Belgium..elections tomorrow...compulsory..:mickey:

I'm good Tiger...Not such a "Fairchild" anymore at 41! I posted a lot of photos of me as a child on my profile because I had a very messy difficult childhood,mixed in with some very good times...So those photos of me being happy are very important to me and help me to progress in a positive way...Is voting compulsory in Belgium?...I think that's not good...Making you vote for a system you might not believe in...Are there some good political parties there?

Positivity..is just another word in the dictionary..:sunny:
I've been also very often in the negativity...
the balances..between these 2 worlds..
are often very near for lots of people..
fact is..we have to get out of negativity..by deeds..
and we have to do it OURSELF..not always that easy..
if we wanna live in a better world...
we'll have to look within ourselves...
and start changing things which bother us..or others...
and then..we can say...we reached a goal..

 

Am I being selfish? I feel really selfish.

Imagine your the only person in somebodies life that brings even an inch of happiness. This person is complex to say the least but their entire life has been filled with shit. Your constantly there for this person, even though your deeply in love with them your willing to be pushed to the sidelines whilst they deal with life. They ask for your help but never accept it, they need you more than anything but run from you rather than to you when they need you most.... Then one day you just cant handle it any longer and you cut contact (but you inform them of this, and let them know where you are if they need).....

I dont think I've done the right thing
I try to be positive about said person but I feel like we are bringing each other down. When were together everything is more than amazing, the shit & pain disappears, but when apart everything is just amplified. And we can't be together every second, or even every day or week...
I dunno what to do. I dunno how to act. And said person gives mixed messages so really isnt helping my predicament.... Ergh.

 

Yes...you got that right,voting is compulsory in bloody Belgium..
I would risk a penalty or even a jail visit..if I did not...bollocks to that:devil:
good political parties over here???silly..they simply do not exist..
they promess you changes in society..
unemployment solved?more jobs,,more security,better roads..
better this..better that...but..
once elected..these promesses..vanish in the mist...pity really.

sometimes..in life...we face dilemma's...and then...
we have to talk to our heart...and listen to what it says..
I reckon..we should always follow...what our heart tells us to do..

In most countries with compulsory voting, you can get your name ticked off and then just scribble on the paper if you don't want to vote.

You can get let off too if you have religious reasons in Aus, I think. I'd have to check.
