On a happy note, I am adopting a kitten from a friend who can't keep her anymore and I need help with names. She is a brown and golden coloured tortoiseshell cat with green eyes, 4 months old. I was thinking 'Paisley' but I'm unsure. She has very earthly colouring and markings.

What a hassley sort of day! Dealing with post office (redirecting mail), phone company, internet provider, etc etc, filling in forms, answering questions, arguing about final bills.....yawn. And then into the greenhouse to do battle with my really vicious cactuses (I won, they're all in boxes now but my hands are bleeding.) And finally, a friend came round and he had made me a witch on a broomstick cut into a coin to wear around my neck. He left the date on the coin which was 1968, a year special to me because it's the year I turned 16, left home and was reborn. So I'm smiling now!:sunny:

IRL, I owe someone an apology. They owe me one too. They are making themselves scarce so this is going to be difficult to achieve. Also, I already know that they think I'm the only one who needs to do some apologizing.

I hate stuff like this. I feel so yucky.

One side of my mouth kind of started to turn upward for a second when I watched that.

 

My cat's name is Ember. She is mostly black with some white and orange markings. I almost called her Amber, but Ember seemed to fit her better.

 

Markings sound like our Dacota so named due to the sprinkling of gold.

 

One of my greyhounds racing name was Ember. He is white and orange cow pattern. We changed his name to Clancy when we rescued him, which really seems to suit him.

 

I apologized. It was "accepted" with a "yeah, you should apologize" and a thorough bitching out.

I asked to talk about what is really wrong because it goes back farther than yesterday. It goes back a month.

I was made to feel that my apology would never be thorough enough. I got no talk. I got no apology for the other party's viscous attitude toward me.

Some people want to live miserably and bear grudges. It's passive aggression and it's very difficult to live with.

If someone has decided they want to be miserable, there's nothing you can do about it. At least you can sleep easier knowing you have done the right thing.
