Hey I bailed out of the bus for a short time tonight, went to see a brilliant band Calico Jack. It was down at the marina, the band are friends of a friend. They all live in canal boats and their music is piratey sea shanty type of stuff with a guy who plays great fiddle. We had a few drinks and chatted to friends and danced a lot and now I've been transported back onto the bus!

Its weird how the music from 'my time' is so different to what I'm in to... there is some good stuff but generally my taste is for 60's/70's music. I was born in the 90's...although the 90's music I listened to as a kid will always stay in my heart but even back then I was listening to mainly stuff from the 60's and 70's because of my parents...they were anarchist punks, they ditched me every year to go to glastonbury

None of it was my 90s gems though they stay a secret! One song brings back such memories, it was an Irish band and I would skip round in a circle with the song on repeat when I was about 6 and attempt Irish dancing
