allright,aeri..were you upset...about the word troll?? listen..we live in internet ages...i in the bloody 60's we could not even LASH out towards each other.. we had to bloody telephone...or even beter.. we spoke it out face to face..and solved the problem... maybe Kenny over reacted a bit??was he on a spliff???or a Belgian beer?? don't we ALL over react sometimes? are you hurt in your deeper feelings, aeri?? I'm still pushing you back into room nr.14..don't struggle..get in.. sit down...relax...and realize..what you did for this house.. YOUR HOUSE,aeri...you belong here..you know that..
I know that,Kenny..but I was in Sweden lots of times... nice country...and even there..the trolls...were scared of me
Oh, now I see. This is all about my earnest attempt to try to create an informative San Francisco history thread, so that new visitors and young people who all keep asking the same questions could have real historical answers as to how it all began. I had hoped that a few old timers might care to help out to create a project space where new folks could get to understand, all in one concise location, what was happening in one small urban neighborhood in 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, and 1967. The history of what lead to a world wide explosion of party. I thought that one concise history location would be good for readers. Who would otherwise need to read through the entire forum space in order to gain a glint of the very same information. So, I started a brand new tread, for history and enlightenment. You'll never guess who the very first response post was from, putting me down and belittling my sincere attempt. And then there were more off topic, "snide remarks". Why? This is completely unnecessary. I start a new earnest thread, and first thing, I'm attacked. I'm not even allow to talk. At all. Anywhere in the entire hipforums webspace.
Aerianne, I was following both threads and Kenny doesn't seem realize it but he besmirched not only your Atlanta family but also a large portion of our own. Kenny seems unaware that our commune had houses in both the Haight and Atlanta. My son Adrian's mother was part of the early Atlanta scene. Kenny, this has naught to do with crystals. Apologize to the lady Bro.
Man, I really don't care. Just leave me to do the history thread in PEACE. please. Just leave me alone.
I'd been to Atlanta in 1968. Even this is off topic for that thread. Our Atlanta family happened in 74, or 75. One of 'em was my lady. I think that I would be aware. And I talked with Adrian yesterday. None of these things has anything to do with the new history thread that I had started. 67 and before, Haight-Ashbury. Please contribute. Thanks.
I'll stay out of your history but keep it straight. There was indeed hep B in the Haight in '65/'66. I'm maybe more aware of it than you due to workingg with Switchboard and the Free Clinic.
 and :grouphug: people, enough sillyness, no more arguing. Were allowed to disagree remember, no one person holds the same opinions as the next. Kenny if you want to be left in peace then so be it, its a shame we cant all co habit like before and forget our differences or conflicts, no one wants you gone, you were the cool one who always planned good day trips, remember a few weeks back at the Oregon county fair? How happy we all were dancing up on the stages and getting our feet painted whilst eating funky brownies! Aeri, no one wants you gone, we love you, your a great housemate and always good at welcoming the newbies and making everyone feel right at home, it won't be the same without you, without either of you. and ty and etherea too, the house needs some love again and for everyone to come together and forget the bad times, remember the good, hug and make up then move on together as the family we are  love you guys, please stay!
bit of a vicious circle here,is it not,Ranger? I'm well aware things happened in Frisco and Atlanta...YES.. and for that matter of fact..in the whole bloody U.S.A in that age...I was living me own life..in my own country.. I did not even know what hepatitis A,B or C(if it exist?)was all about.. later..in the early 70's..I had to go for these bloody vaccinations... where nice smiling nurses put a big needle in my arm.. for protection this or that??oh wel..i can tell you.. I travelled over 50 countries...and all I got.. is the bloody shits, and dysentery.. and headache...from the heat and overpopulation in India... what a fuzz about California??it was not the end... or the beginning of the world, was it?? we felt the same vibes in Vondelpark Amsterdam... it's not the fact of Haight Ashbury,Woodstock 1969?? or Altamont or Monterey...pop festivals.. we were hippies as well..in bloody Europe.. and we had a jolly good time...without hepatitis... sorry...this is just my 2 cents of rant... as you all know by now...I speak my mind...when necessarrY..:2thumbsup:
Please contribute. Thanks. Those were my very last words to you. ---------------- There hep B everywhere on the planet. How is this a point? Further more, what baring does that have on why people hitchhiked clear across the nation? The big Heroin invasion and hep along with it, actually started in 68, 69, with the CIA / Air America underground business of bringing in mass amounts of dirt cheap heroin from Laos and Burma straight into the U.S. markets. Then the Haight became a wasteland of junkies and speed freaks by 1970, and many people moved out, but some stayed there in their own neighborhood.
There were thousands of acidhead draft dodgers living in Amsterdam from the beginning of the Viet Nam draft, in 1966 on. It was either go to Amsterdam or go to Canada. Only two choices. I had an ol' Lady who's older brother split to Amsterdam back in '66. Ask the Dutch if they invented "hippie" The old guys will tell you. The new thread is specifically about where the term "Hippie" was coined. (Started)
NO..Kenny...the Dutch followed a vibe from Woodstock 69.. beatniks...were BEFORE the hippies..Kerouac etc... the draft ones..escaping fighting for the mighty U.S.A... what did they find in Amsterdam, you think?? booze, drugs, and hookers..that's all..and a self identity crisis.. you're right...hippies were born in YOUR town.. but we can speak OUR mind...about what we felt... without being in Golden Gate park, you know.. if you're out here..I do wish you well,mate..no hard feelings... you're a brother...if you come to bloody Belgium.. i'll give you food and shelter...and then we'll have a word or 2.. just stay in the house...give in to your stubborness..:2thumbsup:
old tiger, I really like you a lot. Yes of course you are correct. There are many times and places. The history thread that I started is real specific. A certain place, pre1967. It for history. I'd love to visit and hang out with you. I would love to have you come and stay here. In the next two years I'm tying to deticate myself to getting a ranch or some place were we can all hang.
All I can say is this is a great house and I hope everyone can get past the past and move ahead from today forward. Although I'm new here and all and my voice is nill so to say. Just wanted to let you all know how much i appreciate the time and work you all have put into this great subcommunity. Look forward to getting to know each and every one of you. Have An Awesome Day! I agree absentwithin. It seems silly to argue over where the word "hippie" came from or who knows the most about crystals.Your voice will be very welcome here.Come and talk with me in the kitchen. We Have two goats called Monsoon and Starlight, and also Old Tiger's Jack Russel which I don't think he's named yet.I'm sure they would like to meet you too!
