Hey housemates..I'm back home since yesterday evening..felt bit tired..
we did 2 gigs in 1 go..first gig was in a forest(Walenbos)
on friday evening from 19.00h until 07.00 morning saturday morning..

a little report about that one

Let me tell you all that this gig was really farout..:2thumbsup:
the location in a forest was as a matter of fact quite isolated and deep down in the place.
I could not reach it with my motorbike because it was a dirt track,
the dude who organised this gig lives in a chalet there and had arrranged a spot for the D.J's,
a bar for softdrinks and beer and a toilet facility..
the music was fantastic...DJ Cosmic Masseur played until over midnight..
and Aquarius took over up til 07.00 in the morning..
it was attended by a group of folks who really like flowerpower music..
we all danced our arses away,and we all had a time away from society
and that's a good feeling sometimes..


I see some new peoplegreat...
I have to read over 10 pages since I last came in,I'll try to concentrate and read them in a while...
I have to greet the new people,will do so very soon...

Yeah, it's a good day. Been out "liberating" lemons and got some lemonade on the go. Will be ready in an hour or two. Got some really really cheap tomatoes that are perfect for gazpacho ( for the uninitiated - it's a cold Andalucian soup that is to die for)so that's made and enough for this evening is chilling in the fridge. The rest is in the freezer. Just need to sprinkle some fresh basil and parsley on when we're ready to serve. I'm making vegetarian spaghetti bolognese to follow the soup and then nectarines and kiwi for after. Willbe ready about 6ish if you're interested.

 

is bolognese anything like bologna? maybe just an alternate spelling.

I would love to try out your gazpacho. I'll bet that it's wonderful. I haven't had any in a very long time. Thank you.

 

I had Spanish friend that made gazpacho for me once.It was delicious! Unfortunately me and Maria lost touch...My room is a such a mess I don't know where to start...I just can't face it right now and it's getting me down...I know I'll feel so much better when I tidy and clean it.

It's so bad I would be ashamed to let anyone in...Thanks for the offer though.Being a Virgo I like everything neat and tidy...I usually am...But my my tidying routine kinda broke down recently....So I am really out of my element in all this mess...But pop in for a cuppa when I've sorted it out if you like.

Like truthfully, I don't understand what the difference would be between a $500 unit that you recommend and a simple powerstrip with a breaker switch in it. Could you elaborate? i.e. lend your expertise and educate me here. Thanks my brother. I'm just trying to throw a party here.. THX!

I did not get a Major System. Just a mid-size set of powered speakers that you put on sticks, and a tiny mix box, and the sound is simply coming off of iTunes from a generic Mac tower with a 1,000 hippie songs on it. Nothing super. Would I still need super expensive power reg equipment for a computer and two power speakers? If I powered them off of a Generic SEARs type of generator? This is what I'm trying to figure out.

Good Morning Everyone,

I though with coffee and on to my water. The rain last night was wonderful, it cooled everything nicely.

I made Raspberry Jelly Donuts this morning, Two dozen Cherry Pop-Overs, and Cinnamon Rolls. There's a big basket of fruit on the kitchen table I brought in from the orchard., The Peaches are awesome this year.

The pomegranats look so pretty in their bright red coats, I was tempted to pick a few but they wont be ready till fall.

I know I left a mess in the kitchen and I promise to clean it up when I'm done munchin' on a few donuts
