It took everything my husband and I had to get her mother to leave the triplets at home with us. I wish she hadn't played the tournament today because of the heat. The tournament wasn't postponed because they have to keep the schedule. There is another tournament next weekend. I didn't want her to play but if her team didn't have enough players they would have lost due to a forfeit. She didn't want to let her team down.

She's an amazing girl and I will give her a hug for you!

One of my granddaughters friends was playing a different tournament at another park and my daughter-in-law said that tournament shut down because a 4 year old boy died. He was not a player and my daughter was unsure of the cause of death.

So, so very sad.

 

So, do you mind if I put forth the question, If any of these poor children actually die, who get to go to prison?

This happen all of the time, you know.

I don't know...The whole thing outraged me...It was child abuse, no doubt.

 

Will Child Protective Services be visiting this poor little dead boy's parents and taking away their other kids?

Will they be charged with Child Endangerment, Negligent Homicide? And how many other things?

I certainly hope that the city is charged and sued, and the sports organization for certain. They should all be hung.

Were they played in that coastal humidity? It gets hot here, but as we laughingly tell the strugling tourist "It's a dry heat!". Lots of lemonade or iced tea with lemon/lime and mint. Hugs and pats on the back win or lose just for playing 4 games under those conditions.

 

If there is a news story, can you find and post it in the news section here on the forums. Things should be done about Authorities who do things that they shouldn't be doing.

 

I don't know the cause of death. It could have been the heat. He could have been hit by a car. I don't know.

Luckily, we did not have our usual humidity so the heat indices were in line with the temperature. I looked at the town where she played the tournament and the high was 104, I think.

 

sounds like one hell of kid that she did'nt want ta let the team down aery,an though her heart was in the right place,which is admirable, they should have cancelled it until a cooler day.an then maybe only one game in one day at the most.the kids welfare comes before the schedule.they should be happy after playing a game they enjoy.not upset.give her two hugs from me:grouphug::grouphug:

I will Roamy. If she were my child, she would not have played. She is my daughter-in-laws child from before my son. He adopted her but her mom still lets a difference be felt if you know what I mean.

My son was home sick today. I had to take him to the hospital yesterday for testing and may have to take him to be admitted if he keeps vomiting.

 

I will check with my daughter-in-law tomorrow and see if she can find out anything more about it. Actually, I sent her a text about it and told her to let me know if she hears anything tonight. I doubt she will tonight, though.

thats horrible to.she should be grateful to have a good and loving extra grandmother to her daughter,as a child can never have to much love in ther lives.he might hava a bug aery.if the vomiting deos'nt't stop they might keep him in.but better ta be safe anyway just in case.
