Happy Feet: The Official Bare Foot Club

Now those are some happy feet!

 

So, Myranya, yours must be ecstatic -- you spend more of a percentage of your life barefoot than just about anyone I know of. Where's the pic of yours?

So do you go barefoot around here too? Are you in the Seattle area?

Just curious to know if you've been hassled being barefoot if you are living around here - I surprisingly haven't had a whole lot of trouble with it, beyond people looking at me like I'm nuts for barefooting through the rain puddles and the occasional snow flurries.

Although with this last week's cold snap, I've been wearing shoes in the morning while I spend 30 minutes de-icing my car, and then slip them off when I get to the office.

 

i actually dont get to be barefoot as much as i would like to. im from the wenatchee area, i usually go barefoot in the summer.... and my job also premits me to wear shoes, which i guess is for my own safty, but it still bites.

man, you must have some strong feet! if i had soles like yours, i would go barefoot all the time as well!!

 

Actually, it's the opposite - my feet are strong, but my soles aren't. I take particularly good care of my feet...so I only have one area of hardened skin on my right foot. The rest I keep pretty soft with frequent exfoliation/moisturizing. I didn't want to give the wrong impression - I don't go barefoot all the time either, but when I do so, it's usually not a problem for the people around here. My winter barefooting experiences are pretty much a few times a year.

I AM lucky enough to be able to slip off my flip flops and be barefoot at my job most of the time. Just curious - What job do you do that requires shoes?

i work retail... craft store. they wouldnt appreciate it to much if i showed up with no shoes... i guess for my own safty... which i can see, glass gets broke alot, and im sure customers wouldnt find it to appealing either... when there is no snow, i wear my hemp clogs to work. they are the next best thing!

Good deal. I always love seeing some feet behind the counter, bare or not, so at least ONE customer wouldn't complain.
