news alert in case you live under a rock, there is no such thing as race.

 

Manpower isn't everything, the US military budget is still over 6x that of China's, 8 years ago it was near 15x that of China. China has about 300 nuclear bombs, we have around 3-4,000. We have 13 aircraft carriers, all of the rest of the world together doesn't have that many and China isn't even a blue water navy.

Point doesn't matter though since China isn't going to invade any us(or anyone) anytime this century nor vice versa

But I do agree with you that it sucks that only spanish speaking people are getting jobs but thats not a reason to bring down immigrates. Maybe they should pass a law to be bilingual.

Right. That's why I retired at the age of 40, own my own house in Las Vegas, and am financially well off.

Many of you just have no clue. Why do you think Arizona is doing what they are doing? They see what is happening and are just trying to curb the problem. I see it here as well, and in California. I am sure it is happening elsewhere. Maybe it just hasnt reached you yet, but it will. I have live in Las Vegas for more than 30 years now, and people I know who are highly qualified for different positions will lose out to those with lesser qualifications because of one reason and one reason only, and that is because they dont speak Spanish. Now, if you think that is proper, then you are part of the problem as well. Probably because you are afraid to speak up and make yourself be heard because you somehow think it will make you look prejudice? Standing up for one's rights does not make you prejudice.

Oh well, I am done with this thread. Half that replied here are probably to ignorant of what is really happening, or they just are afraid to speak out against a different culture than their own because they fear they might be singled out as being prejudice, or they are Mezcans themselves.

I think I know what you mean. I tried to get a job with a software company once and was turned down just because my degree isn't in computer science. God damn computer geeks, they keep raising the bar for job qualifications. Do you know that a cashier now has to know how to use a computer operated cash drawer.

I was an electronic technician all my working life. In the 70s, all of a sudden I had to learn about transistors and IC chips. I mean, why should I have to learn something new, shouldn't the rest of the world just keep using tubes.

And now, with the world getting smaller and people migrating more and farther, we are expected to learn another language. I guess if you want a job that requires you to go to China to buy widgets, they'll want you to speak Chinese. Really, if you just speak louder and slower they can understand, right...

Hell, I say we we should never have to learn anything new. I say we should all get the jobs we want without having to fulfill those pesky job requirements. I'm proud to be an American and I shouldn't have to learn anything new. Right Zillagod? We might be dumb, but we're Americans, and we're gonna stay that way.

The CIA was at one point experimenting with a LSD-25 bomb with a huge blast radius that could turn entire cities into raving lunatics which would cause a ripple effect resulting in total chaos. we won't be attacking china anytime soon... if we did, it would start WW3, and our government wont be using its superpowerful wepons anytime soon because the whole UN would turn against us.. and the whole fucking world would go up in flames.
