I have used chunk balogna ! The chunks are 4" dia x 8" long and i take a sharp knife and carve them to the shape i want ! Usually 3 1/2 dia and about 6" long are a good fit for me ! The feel, with plenty of lube, is really nice, smooth and slick. Once you're stretched a bit, the steel will glide in and out of you smoothly. Going from a small diameter to a large diameter, with lube, is silky. For me, the weight and pressure of the steel is great and adds to the fun. For warm and cold play, I think it's hard to beat stainless.
