yea idont know man i love guns and roses and why must we continue to circulate such derragatory terms as fags? time for change ppl
Haha, oh yes. He is. I still love him though, the only penis I respect except my own. But only because he was 1/4 vagina once.
He must always be remembered for being 1/4 vagina. If we are not going to appy the term vagina to GNR, what shall we call them?
I think Guns 'n roses suits them perfectly . They're not all asses in my opinion, so ass isn't an option neither I think.
I have heard that Guns and roses often go to public toilets, those really smelly ones in parks where lots of flys are about, and then they get big woofters to give it batty boy style to them
lmao. .. i am so glad i found this forum. ive been reading it for 2 days now and some of the shit is hysterical. im thinking about naming my kid september morn cause i like neil diamond....wtf are you thinking woodstockchild?? november rain?? that kid would be fucked as soon as he came out, although i do like your taste in music..it is classic rock tho, not metal, although sabbath did open many doors for todays metal. metal and classic rock are two different types of rock, but im impressed you know them.
I have to admit, November Rain would be a pretty name, even though I dislike GNR (especially Axl Rose). I wonder what you all would say if I told you I am naming my child Carouselambra after the Led Zeppelin song . I kid, I kid...but at least Led Zeppelin are worthy of having a child named after them.
They aren't homosexual, but they aren't legends either. 'November Rain' is amazing, and 'Dust N' Bones' is great, but I'm not a big fan. Axl Rose is a ****.
They're a legendary band but the fame went to axl's head , and alas he turned into a complete twat ^_^
Appetite for Destruction was a great album, one of my all time favorites. And GNR Lies was a good second attempt, but everything after that is just okay. They went from a band that looked like it was headed for Rolling Stones status, to a star that burned out too early. The Rolling Stones thing was the illusion I think, they never had it in them to give that kind of consistent output IMO. They shot their load with Appetite, nothing they could do could top that album. After GNR Lies the band tried to branch out in other directions, more artistic directions, Axl would try to argue. Now to me, that's a load of bull. Appetite was the only real art album they released IMO because it was honest to who GNR were. The rest of their stuff just feels contrived to me. Slash was awesome in that late 80's early 90's time frame and gave rock and roll a shot in the arm that it needed. I love him playing those simple Johnny Thunders style licks on Appetite. But after that, while he has always been unquestionably talented, I just don't feel him as much. I mean I'm not a big fan of his Velvet Revolver lead guitar work at all. AT ALL. GNR had an awesome debut album that built up such HUGE expectations that they could never live up to. Axl's personality and the drug problems just contributed to and expediated the eventual decline. They should have done what the Ramones did, and stuck to releasing the same music over and over. Yeah it would get somewhat boring, but there'd be the inevitable gems (you know, stuff that would be like what Bonzo Goes to Bitburg and Strength to Endure for the Ramones) but more importantly they'd have kept putting out music that was honest and truthful to the band. And now, after everything I've just said, I have to admit that I do still like November Rain. So to sum it up, GNR were very good, for me, and their first album is one of my favorites, but they didn't put out the consistent body of work to put them on the top. I prefer a band like The Dead Boys. They put out two albums, saw for themselves that they couldn't really top the first, and then they broke up (with each band member going on to do his own stuff, most notably Bators) Better to shut your mouth (well more like break up and each member involve himself in other projects- I don't advise anyone to stop making art) than remove all doubt.
What's the big deal with 'Appetite For Destruction'? 'Paradise City', 'Sweet Child O' Mine', 'Welcome To The Jungle' etc suck. 'Use Your Illusion 1' was better, but I haven't heard '2'. Slash is an alright guitarist. He's melodic and can be quick when he wants to be, but, apart from his three solos in 'November Rain', he's never really grabbed me. Not to mention he's a poser.
Axis, I don't appreciate you telling me that my taste in music sucks. You would benefit in your knowledge and appreciation for music by understanding that it is a highly subjective medium and what sounds agreeable to one person is not always to another. GNR started out a very punk based hard rock band and they quickly lost their direction. I could have made that my post. Fans who were into GNR because they thought "hey this is my kind of thing, Slash is like another Johnny Thunders!" were dissapointed when GNR decided to branch out in a different direction.
what a bullshit thing to say both parts of that ignorant statement suprise me to be coming from a Jimi/SRV fan (i'd assume) I would think you'd be able to hear a guitar lets hear you play a few riffs for me bro poser? :boxing:
Wow. There's a lot of stupidity to be found in this thread. No surprise though... It's quite obvious when people don't know what they're talking about.
Definately a bunch of big gays who wear womens clothes off stage and prance around in ballet skirts. The are the biggest faggots in rock history, hahahaha They suck dick bigtime. I bet old Innertube Rose or whatever his name is - oh its axel isnt it? he looks like one of those really camp queens that have a limp wrist
