That is not a realistic situation. Military forces owning guns is different from civilians owning guns.

How can you not see a correlation between the shocking amount of shootings in the USA, and the fact that it has the loosest and most relaxed gun control on this planet?

 

Every other home in many countrys allready have a computer to seek information but thru some magical power of the goverment the easy formula for black powder well simply just vanish in the thin air. There are also explosives just as easy to make . but the Wizard of OZ well take care of that.

 

I want see you ban black powder or and toooling machines . But a decent pipe from a many things used in the modern world well do. "pipe for the barrel"

 

Owning a gun is not necessarily a right. The right to bear arms goes hand in hand with maintaining a well-regulated militia. The entire affair was meant to allow citizens to use firearms as tools to feed one's family, to bear arms against invading foreign armies and to be used to overthrow any government that seized power and oppressed the people. With the exception of the third example, guns are no longer needed in modern society.

Unfortunately, gun rights advocates (like the hillbillies of southern Virginia, where the recent slaughter took place) do not and will not see the forest for the trees.

 

The swiss keep a real assault rifle at home the citizens are the military. I guess you belong to a inferior race or people that canot be trusted with guns. But its ok to trust the goverment and police with guns right ?.....after all they never do anything wrong.

 

No they simply forgot cops are not beam down from a mother ship above when you need them even if the guy was killing with a high quality knive .

 

That is completely irrelevent to the fact that Cho Sang Heui should not have been able to purchase or possess firearms.

 

Can you read? I've already said I don't feel inferior to anyone. If I could posess a gun legally, I still wouldn't.

I could get hold of a gun here if I really tried looking for it. But I feel no want or need to do so.

And only specially trained armed coppers should have guns. No street copper in Britain has a gun.

 

So far I have seen many counter-arguments against gun control in the US such as:

1) What about football hooliganism? That kills people.
2) What about cars? They kill people.
3) What about terrorists on planes? They kill people.

These counter-arguments have been repeated, again and again, in some cases I believe the same person has cut and pasted the same irrelevant statistics for some vague reason!)

Even though they don't really have anything in common with the issue under discussion, (which is the all too easy availability of firearms in the US, that lead too often to massacres) nevertheless, there is a factor which sets the above examples separate:

All these issues have been addressed politically.

For example:

In Italy, recenly, a referee was killed by hooligans. The Italian Government took proactive measures by stopping all football matches until better security measures could be implemented.

Cars are continuously going through safety regulations. Police are also very good when it comes to booking drivers for offences. More so than any other form of crime.

Planes? Try getting on a plane to fly to NY from Heathrow, and you'll see security measures, matey!

So all these excuses, what about this and that, may not be perfect, but they are being addressed, and there are people and organizations who are accountable.

And now guns...

If people are going to start ranting, and start deluding themselves that I am in any way some kind of political leader, then I suggest they just ignore me, rather than go crazy. This is a heated debate. Words don't kill people. Guns kill people. When people lose their temper they are capable of all sorts of regretable action. To some sick souls, it is not even regretable, because they are psychotic. Only trained personel who are specifically required to carry firearms due to the nature of their occupation should be allowed to do so, and strictly after regular psychological counselling to see that they are not suffering from depression, severe stress, mental illness, or, as in some cases, paranoid delusion.

 

Ok maybe I misspoke. Tell me what WASN'T covered in 29 pages of rantings?

 

I should get a tax credit for buying guns.. it's like i'm investing in the nation's security and not being compensated for it...

 

There's a good idea. People who do NOT own guns should get a tax break, which could be compensated by all those who DO own guns. Well done Serb.

Cho Seung-Hui could had purchase a used gun in the news paper add from a private source are you this dumb Dirk? this country have roughly 80 million gun owners many gun owners own 2 thru 20 or even more weapons . that would make prob 150 or 200 million firearms in the U.S .

 

Only better standards of living and education and less of the rat race life we live in well do some changes. Just very recent a lawyer jump off the Empire state building becouse the financial mess we are now in.
