Actually, I had heard Neil Young on the radio once and I remember thinking "Wow. That guy has a really nasal-y voice and it's really annoying." A couple weeks later I found his greatest hits album Decade at the library and I decided to rent the thing just to check him out and see if the rest of his songs were the same way. I ended up falling in love with him and his music.
