For you Eric, I thought you were off to work and I didn't want to let you down again. Please feel free to post on Eric. I am a silly old Hector.
Your OK Eric, on this one. I took the photo, and I don't even know what it is HeHe. Just joking . I bet you don't have one off these in you kitchen Eric. Or did I speak to soon .
The bear only seems to pass through in early spring, so far haven't had any trouble. It was a joke because people ask women, "would you rather encounter a man or bear if you are alone in the woods" Good advice, I'll have to try that. Thank you
I have had numerous encounters with black bears over the years. They have a great sense of smell. And will visit you and your garbage , or strong odor from cooking. They tend to shy away from people as long as they don't feel threatened.
This will be the first year that I am living here during its migration through the property. Last year the camper was here but I only visited from time time until I moved just before Easter. I saw the tracks in the clearing but not the bear itself. I never left any trash on site while I was gone. The year before that I caught it on a trail cam in the same area...which is about 30 feet from my camper. I tend not to make more than I can eat so there is never really any food in my trash, although that doesn't get rid of the smell from the empty packaging. Ever since a dog ripped up my garbage, I now put my trash in a small shed until I can get rid of it. Don't know it it will deter the bear enough though. We shall see in a few months I suppose. Lol
Sorry Moon Goddess, my apologies. We have a winner, well done yet again Moon Goddess. If you can just flip it for me, I would appreciate that thank you .
