Vigilante, where did you go to school to be a veterinarian technician?

    Nice pictures too, looking great!

im a vet tech also. i cant answer the question for you, but i can say that in many cases, vet's offices want technicians who aren't certified because they have to pay them more. they usually just want a tech with experience.

kinda tricky getting experience without being certified though.:cheers2:

i went to a community college. most vet tech programs are 4 years of vet school crammed into 2. but, there are some 4 year programs as well. i feel 4 years may be a waste of time in some cases. yes, i like doing technical things lol. i am also a certified pharmacy technician. too bad i don't use either certification/license. i have been going through rough times mentally and physically. lifting 100lb dogs (45kg) everyday is too much for me. so, i'm stuck at a minimum wage desk job and i'm on food stamps and all that good shit. oh well. i don't fell bad for myself, just thought i'd explain why i don't work in that industry anymore.

    thanks everyone for the compliments!

I want to be a vet tech but I can't find any schools around me that offer the program so I was going to do an online school but am a little apprehensive. I still have to way a couple years before I can do that. Thanks for the info np and vigilante.

online school is good. but, you have to get a job in a clinic to get your technical requirements done. 2 year tech school is super intense!

Yeh the school I was looking at requires a certain amount of hours doing clinical work which is why I have to put the school on hold since I move so much and by the time I need to do that I may not be living here and not sure where I will be.

Locks look great for their age, and it's hard for me to decide on whether i like your eyes more than your lips.

vet techs are like the ultimate nurse for animals. the only thing we can't do is surgery, diagnosis, and prescribing. in other words we do everything else. injections and vaccines (i am also a certified rabies vaccinator in my county), iv injections, phlebotomy, read all laboratoy results (under a microscope and with machines) medication administration, dental hygiene (yep just like when you go for a cleaning except the animal is asleep) anesthesia, radiology, closing surgery site (sutchering), suregery prep and assistance, wound care, casts and wraps. plus, we have to bathe, do anal glands, toe nail trims, walk the animals, feed/water the animals. everything else i didn't mention and more! lol. it's a wonderful job if you can find a good doctor to work for. but, that is a hard task in itself.

If your hair is naturally blonde why don't you dye it strawberry blonde since you like that color?
