Nothing of them or did they just got old and lame? I can't be bothered with their latest albums and concerts like I used to either. I kind of grew up on Metallica and Iron Maiden though, so I really can't diss their classic stuff. I rarely listen to it anymore and I can see others find it too repetitive or standardized (probably not a word) especially those who are into more 'evolved' metal music so I understand where they are coming from.

I'm 2 lazy to check if I've already replied here, but anyway, I think if you grow out of metal, it means, perhaps, you were never meant for it in the 1st place. Ponder:):)!!

There is nothing to ponder, people get in and out of things. Not everyone digs everything their whole life. It is completely normal.

I see metal aND ROCK as lifestyles to cherish forever, not as trends to use up and spit out like fashion for example:)

To some they are not lifestyles, only music.

Music, like all art forms, is REAL art when it becomes part of you!:)

It is true music you like can become a part of you or your life, however one experience it. This does not mean that during your life you can't grow out of a certain kind of music and fade into some other kind. Wether your lifestyle changes with it or not does not matter. People often change, wether it is their taste in music or their lifestyle, which does not mean they were a poser before of course. I feel this is almost too ridicilous to discuss to be honest.
