Now they've got her turning down awards and being a nusence to gain more media attention. Obviously.

But in serious, there was something I found interesting that was the use of the word Nordic from an Australian site. I remember not many Australians knew what Nordic was/meant and if they did, they played elders scrolls games. But this article rattles it off everywhere. All of a sudden Scandinavia is "Nordic Countries". that's good work, Australia. Starting to see some cultural progression.

The projections are that without flying vehicles and additional mass transit, i95 will require 18 lanes one way all way from NYC to Miami within another 30 years or so, and you will never leave the city. Forget about the idiots in traffic, AI is the future, because there never was any intelligent life around here. Every fucking one of those cars and every smoke stack in the world, could be collecting their own worst pollution and even sucking more out of the air. Soon enough, energy will no longer be the problem, nor will economics as we know them.

At best, cars use only a fraction of the energy in their fuel and even electricity, and all that is about to change.

My city actually had a town hall type thing the other day to discuss a proposed high speed rail between Atlanta and Charlotte (we're right in the middle of the two so it will come through here)

Depends on what socialist means to you. We have one of the 2 major parties endorsing socialist ideas now. They are doing it in a pro capitalism way that as Biden said means things "fundamentally will not change".

People like me who want a European system are still the minority. People don't like taxes even when they serve a purpose. I admit I don't like paying tax. It's "my" money I worked for. I accept it if I can see how it helps society. That is socialism to me and I think that attitude will become more mainstream.
