Agreed, but the thing is more emphasis needs to be put on REDUCE and REUSE. It's only something I really thought about recently after reading about all the difficulties regarding plastic recycling. It's an easy way to buy peace of mind, to recycle. Whether they ACTUALLY recycle it doesn't make us feel guilty as long as we don't know,dont think about it.

The reducing and reusing parts of the slogan are higher priority. I'm now paying a bit more for milk in glass bottles so that I can take the empties back. I've said it a few times already but we need this to be the norm again.

 

That's nice you have the option of glass bottles. I would gladly pay more to buy glass bottles but I dont think that's possible anywhere around here

 

It's a new option for me.. The village shop started doing it earlier this year. The milk is from a local farm.

 

(a) He didn'tt have any assets, he was financially supported by Fredrick Engles, (b) There was no health care provision during his life-time, (c) He may well have been a 'leaver' as it is an anti-capitalist stance, as too am I.

 

I dont really know why that went out of fashion. Used to have the milkman come around when I was a kid. No idea how much it used to cost relative to everything. But glass bottles, theyd reuse, aluminium tops. And youd never get up in the morning and be out of milk. If I lived in the suburbs, id pay for it

I voted 'leave' twice, once when Harold Wilson gave that opportunity and again when Cameron did. At least, unlike those bastards in the 'nasty party' I am consistent in my opposition to the EU. Furthermore, another reason I voted 'leave' was to give that neo-fascist Farridge a bloody nose and his p.45 !!!

He's the only one who keeps trying to debate leavers on here (the leavers appear to be pathetic debate partners so can't blame others for letting them repeat themselves without giving a shit). He's not the only brit on here who prefers UK remains in the EU.

 

I prefer it. But what I'm starting to understand about myself is that if one side of a debate starts taking things too seriously, I want to oppose them, either semi seriously or entirely as a joke. Even when they're my side : )

Taking things too seriously is useless.

 

That's why certain forummers act as they do too. They get triggered by other peoples passionate concerns and counter it with semi serious arguments or just plain trolling. Don't make it a characteristic trait. If you do it too often it ruins discussions. Sometimes it even seems that's their aim.

 

Yeah I dont really like when people play devil's advocate just for the sake of it, as a joke or whatever their reasoning is.
Maybe I take things too seriously but whenever I argue something I do it with complete sincerity and I'm not a fan of discussing something when one isnt coming from a place of sincerity. It just seems like a pointless circular argument at that point rather than a discussion
