Who is just as mad as me on science?

 

I posted a article on Twitter from a Science news site that stated they could do something of this sort or time travel - for all of 110 nano seconds. Science definitely be getting interesting now.

I don't necessarily agree with everything said but much of it corresponds with my original explanations so I just had to post it here.

 

Well etkearne, I for one, thank you for your enlightening comments. I work in the biophysics/bioimaging field in a research facility, though I don't have a graduate degree. I'm a level II tech there. I work with light and so have the opportunity to witness quantum theory in action and have a fairly decent working understanding of it but my degree was in chemistry rather than physics so you have filled in a few gaps in my understanding. Not everyone here is living in a fanciful universe where things are the way they imagine them to be and any information that contradicts their fantasy is stubbornly rejected. There really are some of us who belong to the reality-based community and appreciate your posts. I hope you won't go away from the forum completely. Nevermind the wildlife. It's colorful and sometimes amusing and occasionally someone asks a genuine, rather than rhetorical, question.

The higgs field sounds a lot like the fabric of space itself, AKA zero point field, AKA ether... particles are vibrations/waves in the substance of space.

 

space is nothing more than area regardless of if it has mass or not.

time well its presumable even intervals but hey what the hell we could have logarithmic time scale I suppose if we needed to fudge a formula bad enough to get it to work.
