don't quote me on this, but i've heard it's good to take 500ml one hour before dosing on your opiate, and then to take an antacid (idk why, though) with another 500ml of GF juice 45 minutes later (and 15 minutes before dosing).

I learned some things about grapefruit juice in biochemistry. Certain compounds in grapefruit juice bind to and inhibit an enzyme called CYP3A4 (and maybe others) that's part of a system of enzymes called Cytochrome P450. This system of enzymes is responsible for the metabolism of most drugs. When CYP3A4 is inhibited, the peak concentration and half life of drugs it metabolizes increase significantly. Notable drugs enhanced by grapefruit juice are alprazolam (xanax), triazolam (halcion), clonazepam (klonopin), phenobarbital, codeine, fentanyl (omg please get me some), dxm and thc. It works for a while so down a glass or two of grapefruit juice before popping any of these for a boost. I've tried it with xanax and halcion with good results. 1 mg of xanax got me hammered for about 4 hrs after a 16 oz glass of grapefruit juice. Hope this helps.
