You obviously said that jokingly, but just to be clear: I'm not anti flying at all. Not even for a holiday. How much do you fly in a year, generally? How would you get there otherwise? What's the purpose. Etc. etc. All this matters. Do you see the logic in making airplane travel cheaper than train travel? Edit: talking especially with Europe in mind here. Including the UK but excluding a destination like the canary islands (which unless its a dream destination might just as good be exchanged for a mediterranean island or beach)
Because you are contributing to wear and tear and eventually that road or sidewalk will need repair or replacement. You’re contributing to traffic/congestion which will lead to the need for expanding infrastructure. It just seems extremely hypocritical based on your self righteous statements to others about flying in a jet. You need to get rid of your computer and using all electricity as well. Electricity production is a massive contributor of greenhouse gases.
Actually, i have been free of work since november and have the financial means to fly anywhere if i wanted to. This sounds like a terrible brag... i know. But i just mean to say: im good
It wasn't self righteous. It also wasn't a statement against every use of airplane travel. I have no problem admitting i too am a polluter and consumer. I am not advocating not using any electricity, car, airplane etc. at all. I advocate using them responsibly. And be conscious how much of an impact short flights have on the environment. Is it so nasty to make people conscious about how bad it is? Especially if there are other ways. You're obviously reading stuff into my posts i didn't say. Probably because you assume im a certain kind of person for arguing responsible use of air travel. Why else would you say I need to get rid of my computer and stop using electricity completely. I have the feeling this is Mally's problem as well.
I didn't think this sounded right.. I thought it was more likely from polyester/acrylic clothing going through washing machines. And a brief search seems to agree with me, but I'm open to new information. I don't buy any synthetic or synthetic mix fabrics anymore, mostly for this reason. Actually I've just found an article titled "tyres and synthetic clothes biggest source of microplastic pollution" ...so there ya go! Still going to post this just in case anyone reading doesn't avoid synthetic fabrics and might as a result of knowing.
yes indeed..i might go to Taiwan end of october...i am thinking about it..I must save money though.. i wanted to go to Croatia first to find out who this crazy chick Eloise is...but...I cancelled it(ahah)
A lot of people feel like this it seems, secretly or not. I sometimes have to conclude as well that i feel it doesn't matter if humans ruin it for themselves. It will probably take a few generations, so we're good anyway! Cheers!
Mally Doesn't have a Problem ! Why bring me into it after you already told me to stop reacting to your Gibberish ? Try to stop being a Hypocrite !
My top places of interest currently: Spain, Morocco, Israel, Egypt. But I can't think of many places I have NO interest in.
Please stop reacting to my posts if you have nothing to say about the content, and actually prefer me to stop on this issue. Yes, all your reactions indicate you have a problem with what i said. I have explained my initial point as good as i could now though, while you have only called me full of shit, a whiner and a hypocrite. So unless it is about the actual content take your own advice and stop reacting. Otherwise you're not only the biggest whiner in here, but actually also the biggest hypocrite.
I like your lil list. Morocco and Israel are on mine as well. And I'm always game for Spain. Also, Ireland, Iran, Turkey, Montenegro.. I don't know...a lot of places. And of course - the United States of America
