I was in love with Goosebump books and wouldn't read anything else when I was little. When the show came on, I found it sort of disappointing, as it messed with some of the images I had in my head of the storylines. It also seemed to me like a poorly executed Are You Afraid of the Dark?, but I couldn't really be pleased anyway. I was already watching the Child's Play movies, Silence of the Lambs and the Halloween movies at that point... I was kind of an odd child. I had read every paranormal and "true ghost story" book in the public library by the time I was 9. Not so. The first one I ever read, I made it in one go. I became addicted to them after that, but I never had that kind of luck again. Usually I would die a million times, get frustrated and just read the whole damn thing cover-to-cover to see if I missed any storylines. Good source of entertainment for an only child from a poor family. I felt like I went on an adventure every night.
I felt like being nostalgic one afternoon and made an effort to record this show and watch it the following night. The episode was a two part special which I think was based on How I Got My Shrunken Head. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ulksw9g6Ytg&feature=related ^ It's the first part of the episode out of 4 and the second one is easy to see in the play list but I didn't check if it had the remaining videos. There's more videos of Goosebumps episodes too if you're interested.
