It's reality. You're not seeing enough of it so Google is going to give you that ability. More reality! :2thumbsup:
I love the way they're marketing it as a fashion accessory (sorta like Apple does with its products). Buy it cause it's fashionable, not cause you need it! With the way young ppl are getting addicted to these new gadgets, it's only a matter of time before they all need rehab... 30 days on a Quaker farm should work.
Thats what they want SKIP,a bunch of dumbed down sheep they can walk all over, lie to,etc...... (Like most older ppl now) No resistance........Perfect for the elite!
Seriously, who would want this thing in their face all day. You don't need to look like Cyclops just to check email and play games and you know that's all most of them will ever be used for.
Fuck that. That's what psychedelics and cannabis are for. This technology is a poor, soulless, unhealthy substitute. Far worse for the brain. And I know you're joking. But I'm just fed up with how people keep getting suckered into consumerism and technology addictions, while something that allows you to have a personal connection with God and true reality is illegal.
you do realize that the majority of psychedelics are a direct result of science and technology, right? I've never seen an LSD tree.
Shrooms are natural. Mescaline occurs naturally in peyote and San Pedro cacti. DMT occurs naturally in many plants, and is produced by the pineal gland in our brains. LSD is semisynthetic and derived from ergot, and is a psychedelic very similar to the above substances. They're all substances that react in natural ways with our brain, unfilter our senses and have been shown to have significant health benefits. Only a small portion of LSD makes it to our brains, and all it does is fit like a key into our already naturally-existing receptors, thus effectively disrupting our brain's filters and allowing a flood of information to be processed. The drug leaves our bodies before the trip is even over. If it weren't for those receptors in the first place, we wouldn't trip. You CANNOT compare that to pieces of glass/plastic/metal that induce a false state of reality programmed and controlled through fallible, man-made software.
just wrote a pretty long reply but i lost it somehow, fuck. basically I wasn't trying to compare the experience of these glasses to those of psychedelic drugs, but more pointing out that many people tend to speak out against 'technology' they don't have any interest in, while still taking advantage of many technological advancements to better their own lives.
I know that feeling. Really sucks for me when it happens. And come on now, I'm not Amish. I wasn't condemning all of technology at all. Technology is an important tool we should definitely be grateful for. :2thumbsup: But what I was saying is that in today's consumerist society, it's a weapon in many cases. It has brainwashed people into living a materialistic, self-serving and ignorant false reality. People build their whole lives around what the media says and what the latest product is, and become mega dependent on technology. First and foremost, I believe they should be focusing on spirituality and love. Because if modern society as we know it all crumbles down, then where will they be?
i agree with you for the most part, but if people are happy with their 'false' reality then i don't know how bad of a thing it really is.
