I think if it stresses you out quit. Meanwhile I have to quit wearing a cap all the time and go 'bare headed' more, I got thick wavy hair looks nice but I always think its messy and grab the hat.
i'd say ''dont be a dick'' but it hasn't worked the first 800 times so I will stop....however.…..in every city ive visited it is odd to see people I bare feet walking on a public street....in a all...at the liquor store...where ever......I didnt say it is bad but it is absolutely odd odd [äd] ADJECTIVE different from what is usual or expected; strange. also glen...''le sigh'' is lame....very lame.....
What you meant then is "barefooting is odd". A person can have some odd habits or behaviours without coming across as an odd person in general. Then there are people who just seem inherently odd in their mannerisms, thought patterns, etc.
I'm an oddball. sometimes it scares off a large position of people from taking you in and enjoying your company, but in the flip side it will also bring in a host of fans and friends, usually odd in their own ways too. Some of the most important relationships I have with people came from spontaneous acts.
We all have some habits that could be considered odd to another person. with that in mind, why not just be yourself? There comes a point in your life that you just stop caring about what others think. You simply can't control that. So be that as it may, as long as it's not illegal or does not hurt someone else, have at it I say.
Well I get called an oddball, and I probably am... I still don't think I am inherently an odd person. And I don't find you odd, either. Eccentric and crazy and multi-dimensional.. but not odd. This is probably just me having specific associations with the word "odd". If someone can, on a website or real life, get on with a variety of people, with ease, they're probably not what I consider odd, however many "odd" things they may do. There are people who wear shoes and act/look normal but they give off this "oddness" vibe.
I guess I am one of those odd folks people refer to. I have gone barefoot for my entire life. I am barefoot about 60% of the time, in sandals about 30% of the time and in shoes a mere 10% of the time. Now let’s define who is the odd one at my house. My wife and I were cleaning the creek that passes through our property of the weeds, mud and leaves. It was 60 degrees outside and the water temperature was about the same. I worked all day barefoot and she had knee high rubber boots on. Cathy asked me a couple of times if my feet were cold. She was also concerned about me stepping on something in the mud. When we got done for the day we stripped our clothes off on the porch. A fun activity all by its self. Cathy’s boots had filled with water. Her feet looked like prunes. She also managed to get a blister on the bottom of her foot. My wife complains her feet hurt and gets occasional blisters from her footware. My feet do not suffer from any ailments. I keep the calluses off of them and get a monthly pedicure. Who by definition is the odd one at our house? The shoe wearer who has foot problems or the person who prefers to be barefoot and has no foot problems? Just curious?
I regret not taking before and after photos my own feet. I had some shoe damage, toe on left foot bent it mostly straightened out and my foot print changed like in this illustration like from the middle one to the one on the right. Shoe people have shoe damage so they hide their feet in shoes and get more damage, that snowball can be unrolled.
still you I see the bare feet brigade has pulled out those stupid photos they all carry in their pockets.....the ones with the 1950s shoes that leave out the fact now people actually wear comfortable shoes most of the time….not those pointy ones my gramma wore after wwII…...when the settlers came the Indians looked at their shoes and said ''why are we barefoot?...lets buy some shoes too''....lol
Whew. I am so happy I have not crossed the line to normalcy. As soon as I am done eating I am going to climb into the attic in my bare feet and run the surround sound wiring to a new location. No blue tooth here the signal makes my tin foil hat rattle.
I am odd to people on this island where I live....I maintain odd is not bad....1,3,5,7,9...all odd.....no bad
I love going barefoot; however when I work hard(gardens, carpentry), play hard (biking, climbing, hiking) or go into town I wear the appropriate footwear. There is no way I could bike as far as I do w/out shoes, I could not climb at all and doubt stores/restaurants would allow me in when barefoot. I am barefoot most of the time inside my home, socks in the winter and all shoes piled high at the doorway.
