going to come clean about smoking

i eventually came clean to my parents about smoking and eating mushrooms. i got tired of hiding it and lying about it. this was when I was 19 or 20 years old and was NOT living at home with them, so there was really nothing they could do. and it wasnt like they had just caught me smoking - i sought them out and told them. i didnt like having to lie to my parents and keep them out of my life like that.

the mushrooms were a little hard to explain, but i just told them that since they had never had them, they couldnt tell me not to. they had no idea of what the experience is like.

i never talk about smoking infront of them, and i still do my best to keep it all on the down-low, but would never deny smoking if they asked.

when you´re younger and living under their roof, they have a lot more say about what you do. once you´re older, i think it´s better to have an honest relationship with them. you are, after all, an adult...

 

My advice? I told my parents and they werent cool with it. Now ive gotta be more careful then ever. i regret it.

 

I'm considering telling my parents, too, just because I have a good relationship with them and I don't want to have to keep trivial secrets like that. I'm nineteen and I live on my own, though. I'd never have considered telling them when I was fifteen.

Also, my parents went to Bates in the sixties-seventies and are huge Deadheads. Pretty sure they've had their share of smoke.

 

My dad smokes pot.. He doesnt care. He said I couldnt do worse then him as a kid lol.

And my mom tried pot but didnt like it, but she doesnt care because she knows its harmless and she actually told me that pot and hash and hash oil are the only drugs i can do lol. They actually said they'd rether me smoke pot than drink lol

 

Yeah it always seems like a good idea... then backfires. Been there before.


Best advice you can get... Just roll with it.. over time they wont give a fuck if your smokin pot as long as your not out there suckin dick for coke.. believe me.

 

ah you already decided not to tell, id say thats a good idea. I didn't tell mine I got caught and my mom is paranoid about it, always searching me when i come home and shit, and if I ever have money i cant take anymore than 5 fucking dollars out at a time, so yeah they don't trust me and they treat me like im in middle school, so fuck that im glad you did not tell.

 

Honestly, I am of the opinion that no one should be smoking before 21 or when they are going to school or learning a new job. It just complicates things.

But I'm not the type to push my beliefs on others, so I vote 'don't say anything'. Just think before you get high and make sure you are doing it at the right time and place. :shrug:

I regret this every day of my fucking life, one day my mom and I on a car ride asks, have you smoked weed? Me thinkin I can make it out like hey if I do it at the house and not on the street i'll be safe maybe she'll be okay with my idea! Uh uh .. after that drug test after drug test after room search after room search, was forced to not see my best friends about wasnt allowed to see my fiance of 2 years just because I smoked the naturally growing herb..

It's not a wise move, you can take your parents blindsited man they never will figure out you smoke if your wise

Heres the tips to keep it from them

If your smoking near your house try to be a little bit out of sight, and not make alot of noise where they know where you are,

After you smoke pop a breath mint, brushing your teeth does not do it it helps alot but that scents still there, my fiance thumbed me up the ass a few times for me doing it and getting a light hint of the smell

Use visine or rohoto Rohoto is the best way intense on the eyes but it takes the chinese and red eyes out FAST as hell it works 100% of the time

and carry around axe couple shot sspray you keep that up and the only way you'll get busted is if your dumb and they walk in on you trust me dude dont say those simple words " I smoke Marijuana mom. "

yea, my parents got some clues that i smoked, haha they found weed in my backback. i said it was my freinds and they believed me, cuz my dad is anti drug, but my mom has been pothead forever. so i jsut told them at least i dont drink or smoke cigets(witch kill you and weed doesnt) i said its a grass that when you catch it on fire it jsut happens to have some sideaffects

 

Lol! My parents first caught me when I was fourteen. They already knew, but they found my stash in the ceiling. It was some nice kush that was completely green, but it still did its job ! My mom gave me $30 for about 4 grams I had left and said she was going to flush it down the toilet... It turns out it went striaght to her drawer lol! They just kind of laughed, but didn't want me to smoke all the time...
