Speaking strictly as a heterosexual M.C.P. eavesdropping on the Women's Forum, I personally find sagging or drooping breasts sexy - perhaps because they are more true to Woman's natural form - perhaps because I like the feel of holding something soft and heavy in my hands...

But please don't go around braless just to please us - you should do what is comfortable for you!

skin stretches. it's an amazing organ. just like really fat people get droopy skin after losing weight, because the skin doesn't snap back into place, so will the skin around your breasts. it'll stretch with pregnancy, or any other weight gain. there's no changing that, even WITH a bra. so unless you really prefer the advantages of the bra, and for someone like me, they're many, don't bother with it.

my husband adores braless women. he can't help but stare. he LOVES the jiggle. mind you, that's sort of the reason i wear bras. i hate it when people stare at my chest.

I have never worn a bra... and I like it that way. I have a relatively small chest and a seemingly perpetual case of nipplis erectisitis, but I wear it with pride.

As do all other men, the only difference is whether they are to coward to admit it or not - so congratulations for your husband !

I don't actually think thats true, my last boyfriend HATED that I didn't wear a bra... maybe he was just jealous that other people would look.

I have small boobs. I've noticed the more I wear a bra, they do shape differently. More "cone" 12-year old shape which I hate!

If I don't wear one for a couple of weeks straight, my boobs sag more... but not in the typical sag way. It's more like they are reshaping. I think they look better that way, more fullness at the bottom and less cone shape. So for me it's not a matter of sagging I think it's just muscle and shaping, and for some reason a bra seems to affect that. Or maybe it's all in my head. :p

I cannot stand wearing a bra. Personal opinion, totally. I definately dont need one. I have a narrow ribcage and sometimes I wonder if that is why it hurts so much when i have anything tight around it, I dont know, but boobs in any form are magical things~

I wore a bra twice this past week, after not wearing one (except a sports bra once or twice a week) for almost a month. It was SO uncomfortable! When I get my nipples pierced, I'm going to have to wear one for a while so I can wear nipple shields while they're healing. I'm not looking forward to it.

I stopped wearing bras a lot of time ago and it is fine, even if my boods are pretty heavy, as it is "a relatively big chest", and use to fall. Then, I absolutley don't have "a seeminlgy perpetual case of nipplis erectisitis", as it works just if I lick them or something similar, but would like to have it. More, moonlightdelirium is wonderful! :D

Well, the breast tissue does lose its elasticity over time. If you're doing jump rope without a bra all day, I am convinced that your breasts will lose more elasticity than they would if you weren't doing jump rope. Kind of makes sense. There are exercises that woman can do (much like kegels so that your pelvic floor doesn't fall after having kids) to increase the tone of your chest and breast muscles. I am not certain how much improvement and benefits their are for each person to where a bra, but I personally notice a difference in my own breasts (which are fairly large) when I go braless for a few days. Mine need the support to correct and improve circulation in my breasts and all that good stuff.

my last bf was the same way. when i was with him i stopped shaving, wearing a bra, and putting on makeup. i wasnt taking a stand or anything, just decided it wasnt me and wasnt worth my time to try and look like people wanted me to look. he just hated it and was rather mean about it. its just social conditioning, pretty sad really.

I think that if somebody loves you he/she has to love not (that's obvious) the way you look that moment, but any changement in your style. I don't wear bras, I'm not shaving any part of my body and for that reason people use to look me in a strange way and don't get too much close to me. I know that if somebody really want me will have to like it and accept me as I am. I am looking always for people not judging and themselves being peculiar.

Reading all the things people had to say no one really had any reference to anything medically proven. The things here made sense... and these days it wouldn't be surprising if it's just corperate america just trying to find a way to make more money by telling us that we need to wear one... but if anyone has any medical referces to prove wearing one is not needed it would be greatly appreciated.

hehe...I like how all the 'I don't wear one and my boobs are great' mostly seem to becoming from the younger folk. Well duh. Wait a decade or so and we'll see where your boobs are. (Power to you though! If you got a pair of perky ones and can go braless - go for it while you can still pull it off!)

I'm getting the age sag. Never had kids or breast fed. They ain't down to my belly button or nothing but give that another 20 and I'm sure they will be.

I wear some sort of support most of the time 'cause the bounce and jiggle can be painful and annoying. Don't even get me started on nip chaffing. Usually, just kicking around the house, doing errands and stuff, I just wear a supportive cami - not too much restriction but enough support to stop the bounce n' chaff.

I try to go braless...but as I was raised in a uberChristian house, I tend to get a wee bit selfconcious.

    BUT I'M FIGHTING IT, DAMMIT!

    :]

i have never felt comfortable not wearing a bra, mostly insecurity cos my breast dont point towards the sun. some girls' breasts are soooo perky.
mine are normal but i never thoguht they were ya know...
but i guess i'm starting to be less insecure about them, my husband loves em so i try to be less "shy" but i catch myself still trying to hide them when i walk around naked.
but they also start to hurt from moving around after a while so yeah, another reason to wear a bra...

but i'm sure if i knew for a fact they wouldn't get saggier if you dont wear one i'd go braless more often. probably only at home though

Here's a non-porny site which discusses the issue calmly. They say that there's only ever been one serious study of the effect of bra-wearing on breast shape, and the claim was that going free actually helps breasts stay higher (not that it's a problem if they don't):
