I also believe in God. But I don't especially belive in a Christian God or a Catholic God. But i know there must be a God. I just feel like our exitence, no matter how small it may seem on the scale of the universe, is evidence that some sort of higher power exists. Why would anything exist if there was no God? How did the earth and the stars get here? Some might the big bang, well how did that happen? How did that get here?

This is also a logical conclusion based on evolution and nature... coupled with conciousness itself, and thought on the scale of infinity... it all comes together. We are a part of a conscious whole, the whole is "god", the supreme conscious that man may achieve as enlightenment... merely realizing our capability of wholistic thought we are born with - transforming from animalistic behavior to "godlike" behavior.

Thats what I believe, or should I say, thats what I have logically concluded.

Unles your talkin about the GD gang, which I'm not a part of :)

This brings part of the story together:

    http://www.thunderbolts.info/

Yes we are part of a system, but you must not assume greater or lesser, equal makes more sense. "we" are energy of some form - the energy of thought...

"Higher power" is all good and well... but that belief is what keeps people ignorant... in reality we as humans are capable of infinite thought, thought is not a product of time, it may grow as it will into infinity.

You may achieve that so called "higher power" if you seek it, and it should be the goal of everything alive that may have the ability to understand such an ability.

Are there greater energies than ourselves... dunno, I think we are part of the "greatest" energy, the very energy that drives the universe itself.

you seem to like misquoting the old testament but yet you don't really get the new testament. if someone really believed that they were "good", they would never consider themselves supierior to another human being who they have deemed "evil". maybe it's you who should look at the big picture. christianity is logical. humans are born into sin, as sins along with the original sin has been passed down through fathers since the beggining of history. this is why Jesus had to be born by a virgin mother. so he would be sinless. but it is ridiculous to assume that humans are either good or evil. there is no person that is always good or evil all the time and a true christian will never look down on another. it seems like you've never met one. and why exactly, do I have to accept evolution?

this is one of the more absurd post i have ever read. you are still caught up in the which religion is true and which one is false argument. has it ever occured to you that maybe they are all the same thing? they all preach the same thing. love and peace. Why could God not work in different ways with different people. I see the different religions like the fingers on your hand. they branch out in different ways, but they all come back and serve the same hand(God). and yes, maybe God was grieved that man had become so evil. you also need to understand that no one can understand the mind of God. You think you have everything analyzed and formulated to your liking? Well who are you, to know what God thought of the situation and if how he handled it was a mistake or not? I will just say this though - although God was grieved that he made man, we are still here. so was it a mistake that he made us and he had to totally wipe us from the Earth? guess not....

My personal philosophy is beyond your understanding at this point in time.

    Why?

    You're still eluded by falsity.

"this is one of the more absurd post i have ever read. you are still caught up in the which religion is true and which one is false argument. has it ever occured to you that maybe they are all the same thing? "

Different doctrines and gods therefore different religions. To say Buddhism and Islam are related is absurd.

"they all preach the same thing. love and peace."

Love and peace are you joking? The warrior mohammed was not a peacemaker by any means. The Bible talks about slaying whole villages and raining fIre and brimstone on whole cities murdering everyone, God starved everyone in Eygpt. Jesus of course did say love your neighbors but he also said if you look at a women the wrong way to pluck out your eye and throw it away.
Not to mention ancient warrior religions whose whole purpose was to fight wars in the name of God.

"Why could God not work in different ways with different people. I see the different religions like the fingers on your hand. they branch out in different ways, but they all come back and serve the same hand(God). "

Some by unwarranted praise others by exploding yourself in a crowded room.

"and yes, maybe God was grieved that man had become so evil."

The evil committed by man is very minute compared to atrocities committed by God.

"you also need to understand that no one can understand the mind of God. You think you have everything analyzed and formulated to your liking? Well who are you, to know what God thought of the situation and if how he handled it was a mistake or not?"

I will ask you the same question.

I will just say this though - although God was grieved that he made man, we are still here. so was it a mistake that he made us and he had to totally wipe us from the Earth? guess not.

To create us and the be grieved with us doesn't make too much sense couldn't a all-knowing God know what was going to happen beforehand?
Why would he create us in the first place if he knew we were going to cause him grief?

We have a choice, we don't have to follow God's word - which many are not - we can destroy what He has created pretty easily, He loves us so much He is not dictating what we should do, but giving us guidelines - we chose whether to read them and follow them or not.

You might have children, they might do something that you didn't plan for them, they may even do something you are not proud of or may be disappointed. Will that mean you will wish they were never born, that you would have gotten rid of them? No, you love them so much that you let them make their own mistakes as it is the only way to learn.

why do people feel the need to twist everything around. don't read the bible for it's prose, read it for the message, for what it really is. let me clear some things up.

different doctrines and gods, different religions? yeah no shit, but like i said, would it be impossible that they all served the same God? If you had a TRUE understand of Islam and Buddism, you would have never said what you just said in the last post rebelfight. you just assume they are different, b/c that's what you were told. btw Islam isn't exactly about assholes blowing stuff up, maybe you should read a little more.

and wow the bible talks about violence. like i've said before though, please do not misquote the old testament and take it out of context. those were completely different times. in no way does the bible propagate violence. i've never read anything in there that told me to go kill someone.

and you're obviously not even familiar with the word of Christ. what he really said was, it would be BETTER for you to pluck out your eye than lust after a women, and in reality it would be. he spoke in parables to the masses and he meant that it is better for you physical body to suffer than for your soul to suffer. do what you have to do to keep from sinning.

and like Moon_Beam said, if you have a child or plan to, do you think they will never do anything that will embarras you or grieve you? Actually, I can guarantee they will. You know they will also. But you'll probably still end up having one right? now why could that be.....hmmmm....

religion is all about love man. period. anything in the contrary to that is just not true.

It actually says that you should kill witches and gays, and the blood will be on their own heads. I think it's in Leviticus.

If the bible were meant to be more of a message than specific stories or whatever, it would have been written like that. You'd think the infallible word of God would be able to get a clear message as simple as "peace and love" across. But that didn't work so well, as evidenced by the leaders and the larger mass of followers since about the tenth century.

What you know as the bible was compiled by religious leaders in a meeting a few centuries after all the gospels were written. MANY were omitted.

The divinity of Jesus was a point of contention among christians until Constantine assembled the Council of Nicea to decide just that point. Christian leaders were ordered to meet and decide whether he was divine or not. What christians believe now is the result of a meeting of priests in the 4th century, and not directly from the bible.

That said, I agree with whoever said that an emotional sensation is not in any way a reliable source of information. It's just neurotransmitters flowing from one neuron to another. Chemicals in the brain. It is not god speaking to you or the spirit overcoming you or whatever. Everyone experiences euphoria, for any number of reasons. Dancing, praying, singing, exercising, drugs, friends, beauty, whatever. There's a reason that epileptics, people with OCD, and the mentally ill are often more hardcore religious than the general public. It's just a function of your brain.

The same could be said of rational thought. The implications of relativity theory and quantum theory are that reality as it seems and reality as it is are two entirely different things, and that we do not know, and may never know, the latter.

we doubt if our senses can perceive all of existence - this would include a micro-vibrational psychic knowing . probably absurd to think you can know all of god and so know the One existence of god . so you think as god touches you , god exists at least in that moment . is everyone touched at least once in a lifetime ?

once again. leviticus. that would be.....the old testament? it's before the coming of Jesus Christ. stop misquoting the bible. i could say that until i was blue in the face and you all would still throw violence out of the old testament at me. the coming of Jesus changed everything.

and yeah tell me something about the bible i dont know. it does not contain every testament and every story ever written. but they chose the ones that appear in there for a reason. it is what we have, and it is what we study. it isn't like the books in the bible aren't valid, b/c they aren't paired up with every book ever written?

and wow......neurotransmitters and chemicals in the brain....your a smartie huh? well...im glad that YOU are able to understand exactly how the mind works....something that has eluded world renowned scientist for centuries. but hey, at least you get it. also, that's pretty amazing that you understand everyone's feeling and are able to interpret them w/o even having a real understanding of them...i mean good golly! if it has never happened to you, then it has never happened right? God never touches ppl! how absurd....you are gonna have to let me know how you do that!

Because the world is already going into the default-religion social fascist mindsets and seeing these people give into the conglomo-leaders and world-controlling fairy tales is extremely infuriating.

Mr. Mitok gets a cigar for having the correct observation.

There is indeed religion, in this case, Christianity, being used as a default world religion. The whole backbone of the neocon movement is based upon conservative Christian values.

Where do the neocons have the most power? What country has a huge military machine at the ready? Who has over 100 bases spread around the world?

Anytime you combine religion with military power, you have the best tool ever made for world conquest. People will gladly fight for "God, whereas they may not support a political agenda or be a nationalist kind of patriot.

So yes, Mr Mitok, good call.
