Recently saw Goa Gil play @ Area 101,,,, it was mind blowing! most psychedelic experience of my life, and that is saying ALOT. it was very tribal and crazy surroundings... this guy played for like 36 hours!!! WTF! "Memorial Meltdown"... i had never been to a psytrance party before and it was something incredibly different. i learned that psytrance is very very powerful music. it can make you bounce for hours and hours...

    heres some pics

i saw gil in Arkansas it was an incredible experience. he works his way through the sets with careful progression. he started off his set with indian mantras and ragas and then by morning he was in 160-170 bpm hardcore darkpsy madness. he didn't play for 36 hours though, more like 18. well we left around hour 16 and it was pretty dead everyone was exhausted from trancing hard all night. :p

thats badass you got to see him for a first psytrance experience. couldn't have asked for a better way to pop your psy-cherry.

    definitely check out Merrow's album.

"mermaid's twin sister" is one of the greatest goa tracks I've ever listened!
