No that would just cause McCain to win in a landslide victory.

I'm just saying I think NY is going to be a lot closer than it normally is during a Presidential election.

Thats ridiculous. That make no sense. Why in the world does the VP matter? The VP has absolutly no power and will have very little influence on the on the direction the country takes, and almost no influence on policies. I mean, the presidents advisors have much more to do with what actually happens. This is like choosing your favorite sports team based on their athletic trainer, go to a certain college because of a janitor you like, or seeing a movie because you like the assistant director.

people don't vote for the vp, they vote for the big name on the top of the ticket

    HOWEVER

hillary clinton would be the ultimate strategic vp choice

    HOWEVER

she is not going to take the vp, it's obvious she does not want it

    HOWEVER

barack obama does not need hillary clinton to win the general election

    done and done

Obama needs help to win. The Republican Dirt Machine will be able to do something, especially since he's black. They will attach some kind of label to him. They all ready are trying to stick the tag of racist to him after the news story about his pastor.

This could be an ugly race since McCain has sold out to Bush.

    Cheney?

Hillary has too big of an ego to be VP.

If Obama keeps one hand tied behind his back like he did with Hilary then McCain will have this one in the bag. Obama needs to recognize that he can't stay above the politics in the general election because the Republicans will pull out the nastiest shit they can find on him.

Wow that's asinine, for 1 the obvious if the president dies they become the president, which especially in McCain's side a very likely thing to happen. Not to mention the VP has alot of influence and the tie breaking vote in the senate. How can you say the VP doesn't matter, Dick Chenney right now is probably one of the most powerful VPs ever. Al Gore played a big part in the Clinton administration too.

Yes, VP's have played a big role in the past, and Cheney deffently does, but thats only because the president gives them that responsibility. Bush just lets Dick do stuff for him, but he has no power. And to vote based on who would become president in the case of the president dieing instead of who is going to be president in the first place is ridiculous.

As for being president of the senate...all they do really with that is break ties. Cheany has had to do this 8 times in 8 years and Gore did this 4 in 8. Id say that is pretty insignificant.

Hahaha... oh what do we have here. Yes, the Vice President is head of the Senate but he doesn't do anything besides cast tiebreak votes which almost never happens. The Senate Majority Leader is the head of the Senate.
